The phrase "on the snap" means the speaker has been spending too much time watching cheesy pool movies, instead of playing pool. I've never heard any real pool players outside of the "Color of Money" use this term. In the movie it means "I'm too cool to say sink the 9 on the break." Please don't use this term anymore, it just makes me uncomfortable every time I hear it.

This term is used around my area by many pool players, not just those who watch cheesy movies
The Phrase "on the snap" refers to someone making the money ball on the break (ie 9 Ball)
