Looks like I went to the wrong event.... Where in the tarnation did they get a bar? J/K sounds like a great event, may you all have a great time and the TAR guys gut a little in thier retirement fund....

Did this replace the splash bar?

What did the riv put in its place anyone know?

The Splash bar is gone, replaced by slots. We had an idea to make our own gathering place for the event with full bar, 9 and 7 foot tables, tables, chairs and a few couches along with a flatscreen or two for people to hang out, have cocktails and play some pool. Hopefully with 9 foot tables being available it will also keep most of the action that used to go to poolrooms inside the Riv for everyone to sweat.

Thanks to Mark Griffin and the BCAPL along with the Riviera staff they are going to take a shot on our idea. Basically we all will have our very own little pool room/pub right across from the main tournament room. I think it will be a blast. Anyone who makes it out for the Nationals please stop in and hang out.

Across from the main tournament room? Like where the "practice" tables have normally been located in the lobby? Or will this be in a room off the long hallway?

JCIN...This sounds like a great idea! It sounds like you'll use some of the same setup and format as last year, except adding a bar. Will you be in the same area you were in last year? We'll have a couple of rooms on that hallway, where the BCA/SPF Instructor room will be. I'll look forward to spending some time in the TAR Bar! Good luck!

Last year the TAR Pit was in 107, 108 , 109, and 110. This year we are in 104-106 towards the front of the hallway instead of being in the back, There will be practice tables in 107-110 this year.

Very cool, Justin. Looks like things are going for you guys. That's awesome. I'll see you there.
