The used pool cue market seems to be booming again.

What You said ... I finally had to place him on Ignore, as it was too painful reading all those frivolous threads. "Somebody" needs a girlfriend ... now !

"Jenny, I sent you a message at 11pm. It's 3am and I haven't heard from you. Where are you? I can respond to you within minutes. You have no excuse why you cannot reply to me....none. So, what's up?? Are you unhappy with me? Do you want to break up with me?? Please stop being so mean!!"

"Justin, I was asleep. In bed. I didn't want to break up with you, but now I do"

"Baby, I'm sorry. I have trust issues. Just not hearing from you for 4 hours last night really made me get upset. I need to know you're there for me. (Insert reusable excuse here)"

This is good, too funny.

"Jenny, I got your number, 867-5309............."

Of course, this was pre-internet-troll era...

It seems to me that the used pool cue market is really booming again (and I am not sure how long it has been doing so well), because it is really hard to find a reasonable deal on a used cue (one that I really like anyways).

There seems to be only 1 used pool cue dealer here in Louisville, and I could not find anything I really liked from him (that I could afford anyways).

Cues on ebay are selling really well, going for some pretty high prices in my opinion.

Those old Helmstetter cues are selling really high (most people seem to think that they were really custom made, I am guessing, with the prices that they are willing to pay for them).

I was at the DCC last year, and it seemed that all of the used cues that the dealers were selling were way over priced.

I seen this nice old Jackson cue, and it was not all that fancy, and the dealer was asking like $700 for it.

For a used Jackson like that one, I do not think the price should have been over $400.

I do not see how the used pool cue dealers were able to sell any cues, with their super high (overpriced in my opinion) prices.

But it seems that the economy has gotten better, and people now have a good amount of money to spend on used pool cues, and they are really selling pretty well.

I am just having a lot of trouble finding something that really strokes my fancy (for the amount of money I have to spend on a cue).

I miss the good old days, when I could pick up a nice used sneaky custom for a $100 (but I understand that we are no longer living in the 90's).

I am happy for the cue market though. It seems to be doing very well.

I can tell you that some of your statement may hold some water but I can also tell you that it isn't exactly booming. It's warm and cold and warm and cold...

Why can I not stop rubber necking car crashes. Am I confusing this guy with the laptop guy or is it the same guy? I'm not wasting my time to look.

I have to admit, that was really funny. It reminded me of the 2nd Episode of Season 5 of Entourage, when "Johnny Drama" loses his French girlfriend after leaving her a bunch of crazy messages on her answering machine, because she was not at home to answer her phone. He had the idea that she was out cheating on him, so he kept calling her back over and over again (leaving her crazy messages, after going into a jealous rage for no good reason) until she got back home.

OR..... make some more money and buy whatever the hell ya want?????

wait what? you can do that? Nooooooo way bill... :) when i came back from that 10week stint on the le platform few years back i was drooling over that paradisde made for mantle commissioned by willie....daydreaming mostly....cuz it woulda just been like hooking up all classy hooker for one night.....then i'd have to part with the cue....i'd be sad....meh...one day lol!

id rather buy a house than buy a cue.....plus i can make those chits!! HAHA! the cleverness of me! i wish i had clones....we'd just build a house faster than a busload of mexicans high on pinatas!

i told a friend that about building something stupid....make more money, buy some lathes and such and you can make whatever the hell you want.

I am not sure (actually I am clueless) as to how much this Richard Black cue is worth, but it is up to over $1700 (on no reserve auction).

Seeing that just makes me think that the used pool cue market is doing pretty good. Lately (since I have been looking to find a new cue), I see a lot of cues selling for a lot more money (on auction) then I thought they would sell for.

I was at a local bar tournament the other night, and I was asking around, to see what I could buy for under $400. The only offer I received (for that price) was for a "Douglas Moore" Plain Jane (with a really nice birds eye maple handle), and the guy would not budge on his asking price of $400 for the cue.

I was asking around, to see if anyone knew of anyone that might sell a nice Schon for $400, and they basically laughed at me, saying that there is no way I could ever get a nice used Schon for $400.

Anyways, the local cue market in Louisville seems to be pretty bad (there are no decent used cues to be found anywhere, for a reasonable price).

I remember a few years ago, I had a super nice looking 4 point (with veneers and a nice BEM forearm) custom (from a local cue maker, from Evansville IN, who retired from cue making), and nobody on here was interested in it for $125 I was asking (after weeks of bumping the cue on the FS section, I was finally able to get a buyer on here for the cue).

I guess my point is, that the cue market seems to be a lot better then it was a few years ago.

Justin, you want a nice playing cue, send me $500 and I'll send you the Runde sneaky with two shafts I have for sale. If you don't like it, I don't know what to tell you.

I'll be the first to admit I'm an ass for attacking you, it just seems like you keep beating a dead horse. Youre probably a good kid, if I can help you get a cue that you like, I'd love too, but I don't think it exists. You can redeem yourself quick, add content rather than question everything.

Lol, but I have nothing to add. I only have questions, lol. Anything that I could possibly think to post about (that is not a question, and something that might be of interest to pool players), all of you guys already know. I would still get made fun of, even if I never asked 1 question about anything.

Review the cues you try, nobody can judge your review! Your Omen post reminded me I want one, your posts can have value if they are not always open ended questions. I suck at pool, but I try all kinds of stuff and report back to my peers even if they play 10 times my speed.
