There is a typo in the Windy City Open rules effecting the Women's 3 man event(#15). Teams with a Grand Master will be spotting 1 game per match instead of a 2 game spot in the 9/9 format.

Is This A Test ?

In this instance, it's OBVIOUS that the use of "man" is the highest form of inclusive language :D

The Legendary Buddy Hall will be attending and playing this year at The Windy City Open!
"Buddy" Hall, also known as "The Rifleman" for his straight shooting, was born in 1945 in Metropolis, Illinois, and has been recognized as a championship player for three consecutive decades, garnering more than 70 professional titles. Titles include the Caesar's Tahoe 9-Ball Championship [1982 & 1983]; the International 9-Ball Classic [1991]; Challenge of Champions [1992]; and the U.S. Open 9-Ball Championship [1991 & 1998]. Became the 39th Inductee into the Billiard Congress of America Hall of Fame [2000]; and also, represented the U.S.A. at the 6th World Games in Akita, Japan [2001]. Hall has also won three of the ten richest top prizes in pool, and many consider him to be one of the most fundamentally solid 9-ball players of all time. He has been selected as Player of the Year in 1982, 1991, and 1998 and Senior Tour Player of the Year in 1998. “Rags to Rifleman”, a biography of his life and career, was published in 1993, and Hall has starred in a number of instructional tapes. Hall has been a champion player for over 20 years with countless titles to his credit. He competes on both the men's pro tour and Steve Mizerak's Senior Tour.

Beverly and Joanne Ashton aka “The Ashton Twins” are coming in all the way from Calgary, Canada. They have been a staple at many events including The Windy City Open, Midwest Expo, BCA Vegas, Valley Vegas and many more for years now. Both girls are talented semi professional players who will show you no mercy on the pool table any day of the week. Budweiser Beer is their Chicago sponsor, so if you want to challenge one of these beauties, it better be with a “Bud” in your hands!

There are only a few more weeks to this event begins. There are 22 NON-Stop events for a week straight and we welcome all young and “older” to participate. There is something for everyone here, don’t miss out on all the Action Action Action!!!

Not to mention that Joey Gold, Chris's Cues, Pat Diviney and Dave Jacoby will be there with some of the best cues in the world!

Hatch is due in today from what they tell me ...... Hall didn't want to come without Blud, and Blud got sick and couldn't come. I have no idea what happened to Crosby!

Stopped by last night to see a few friends get their butts handed to them on the 8-Ball singles tourney. :D Awsome competition there. One miss and your gone. Brutal!

If your on the fence of checking this out, get off the fence and in the car if only to see the hardest working woman in the pool business, Eydie Romano! :)

sorry to tell you this but the Derby changed their dates to conflict with the Windy City event!! and Mr Sullivan knows why he did it......

dont get me wrong windy city was nice, but playing on bar boxes and pretty much paying a dollar every other game is shitty. you pay 95 to get in, 40 of it goes to the director, and the rest into the pot, than paying a buck a game seems like a big waste of money. I think most people the played in the mini lost more cash than what they had won.
