The Young Guns Match-Up

I watched quite a bit.
Both guys play real good.
But they are mechanical ,boring and slooooow.
No fire or emotion in either one, they are like robots.
Where is Earl or Mike Siegel?
Those guys showed emotion.

Chris barely at the table and missing 3-4 shots that he probably makes all day long.

Tyler BNR rate approaching 40%+

It was closer than I thought it would be. I figured Chris would finish in the high 50s low 60s

I thought it would be closer, but Chris never recovered after Tyler closed out Day Two with a 12-2 thrashing. Tyler put a 34-15 beatdown on him today. So that's 46-17 by Tyler after Chris led 58-54. By Day Three both players looked a little weary and missed shots they normally wouldn't. There is a lot of conditioning that goes into playing these marathon matches, both mentally and physically. This makes it all the more remarkable when we see players like Shane, Filler, Dennis and Justin play at such a high level for so long.

That's correct. Chris' biggest lead was actually 5 games at 57-52, so it was 14-3 for Tyler at the end of Day 2 and 48-18 to the end from the point of Chris' 5-game lead.

If you were to base who you thought was going to win just off the break and run stats you posted, Tyler would be a clear favorite. But having a 50% higher miss and foul rate shows why Chris has been able to hang in there. Although my conspiracy theorist self wants to think that they have to keep it close for the sponsors and ratings. More commercial time means more $$$...

So this must Have been one of the exceptions where they didn’t have to keep it close? Oh wait, we’ve seen countless whitewashings in races to 100. Your conspiracy theorist self needs to check yourself before you wreck yourself.

I didn't watch it, but I'd have thought it would be something like 100-86. Tyler must have played very well to win 100-75.

Congrats and thanks to the streamers, but let's remember that the real way to thank them is not with words but by purchasing their pool streaming product in the future.

It was an amazing match up to 60-60. Chris had climbed back after being down quite a bit, and he took the lead. At this point, it looked like he was going to be a runaway train. Then Tyler closed out the session winning the last 7 to go 67-60. And the next day, it was all Tyler.

It's not like Tyler outdistanced him from the start or progressively increased the lead. It was 60-60, something happened that Tyler flipped the switch up, and Chris flipped the switch down.

My post was obviously tongue-in-cheek, but for some reason your little brain couldn't figure that out. Typical...

Tyler actually won the last 9 games on Day 2, going from 57-60 down to 66-60 ahead.

Tyler was a terror at the end of each day, winning the last 6 on Day 1, the last 9 on Day 2, and the last 8 on Day 3.
