Yes Zaid Thweib from Jordan snapped off the Lone Star Billiards 9Ball Tour stop at Bogies Billiards in Houston,TX!!
It was action packed excitement as Zaid won over Jerry Slivka in a nail biter Hill Hill match to secure a spot in the Hotseat. He then defeated Dennis Strickland to secure the hotseat before losing the first set to Hillbilly 9-6!! Zaid, pronounced just like "said" but with a "Z" wasn't giving up. He battled back & forth with Hillbilly before gaining a golden ooportunity when Charlie missed a cut on the one ball and hung it with a clear view.
The final rack by Zaid was nothing less than masterful!!

Thanx for the stream Ray... Didn't turn out as I had hoped but was truly a contest at the end. As usual, WHAT IF Hillbilly hadn't rattled that ball in what was to be the last rack ??? Zaid did play well and deserved the win.. Lookin forward to the Texas Open.. hope Juice is able to give you a hand as I know you could use it ... Abig effort for all.

Thanks Howard! The Texas Open stream is gonna be some awesome pool!! I remember last year doing play by play. Shawn Putnam lost his first match to local player Rocket Rick Stanley and ground it all the way to 3rd place!!!

I liked watching Zaid play this weekend on the stream. Very strong player and he played fast most of the time which makes it more fun to sweat

I spoke to Cristina DelaGarza, who finished 2nd in a Florida Scotch event with Zaid, and she said that he did Gamble before he came here. He just doesn't know anyone here well enough yet.
He did get 1/2 of himself in the players meeting. $80 for a $2,000+ return!! Not bad! LOL.

That's right, Ray. He said that he doesn't gamble but it's not because he's against it. He just doesn't feel comfortable enough here to be able to make good games for himself. But watch out, all the Houston boys seem to be trying to take him under their wing in that department.
He's a smart guy tho, he knows when it pays off to buy some of yourself in an auction or not

I did not get to spend a lot of time with Zaid, but he seems like a super nice guy too!
No telling what the future holds for this young man!!
