Thief

I don't think theft is any more prevalent than it ever was. I think internet theft has grown, as has use of the internet. Buying over the internet using methods of payment designed for face-to-face transactions just doesn't work.

Pay with a check and get stiffed, here you are, back in the forum saying how bad thieves are and how someone ought to go beat them up.

Pay with a credit card and get stiffed, dispute the payment with your credit card company and go about your day.

The choice seems simple to me.

Kevin

ABSOLUTELY CORRECT.

Never use anything but a GOOD CC company to buy anything online-sight unseen.
NEVER.
At least you have recourse if it all goes to shite.
If I had payed with my bank card, on one $6000+ transaction, I would have been SCAH RUED!
Seller was an absolute POS thief...which THIS AZBer sounds like.
Sadly, there are lower forms of life with ill-breeding that permits them to exist and rationalize their thefts from others.
There's an old story, for instance, about a person from the sands, who once said ( after stealing from a trusting, naive soul ), " Perhaps now that I have taken your money from you, you will be more wary and, therefore, I have done a good thing for you, and you will not allow more people, like myself, to steal from you."
"Therefore my theft is rationalized and I am a good man teaching men to be wary of thieves such as myself."
Pour us another...

Wanna Hear Something Odd?

I read the post that included a link to his photobucket. I went and viewed the cue photos and guess what?

The very first cue in the photo is a James White cue I came incredibly close to buying in August 2011 and it's the very same cue........and it's not this seller.......and how do I know?

I saved the photos of the cue that I was discussing with the cue owner and the very same cue sits on the very same stand in the very same room at the very same time of day with the very same drapes in the background. The seller was a really nice fellow named Gary Meeks. I had exchanged several e-mails with him and we spoke on the telephone a few times as well. He was a terrific guy to work with and he was well aware I was debating whether to buy his cue or the Tim Scruggs cue I eventually bought.

Just before I bought my Paul Mottey cue a couple months later, I again inquired with Gary about the availability of his James White cue and before I heard back from him, the Paul Mottey cue sale came up and it was a time sensitive sale..........Sorta a matter of act now or miss out and so I choose to go after the Mottey cue instead.......and trust me when I say I've never had any 2nd thoughts over choosing the Mottey cue.

Now get this........every single picture of the James White cue in his photobucket album are the exact same shots Gary sent me and I have the pictures saved on my computer from over a year ago. So something seems very odd how some other person's photos of a James White cue show up in their photo album.......Hmn, this plot would otherwise seem to be thickening......don't you agree Dr. Watson?

The postal authorities will take care of him now that you have filed your report.

Beware azers of this guy Brian kozy screen name mzbhavnhrl he CAN NOT BE TRUSTED HE IS A THEIF I sent him money for a cue he had for sale he said send me tracking number of money order and I'll ship your cue and I did this but he did not ship the cue I paid for and took me 3 days just to get home to return a txt bc I kept asking for the tracking number of the cue well he said he lossed it????? Anyways he took my money and I have NOTHING he won't return money after asking more than once so lesson learned just beware of this guy hes out to steal your money and give you nothing in return but the run around

That's F'n Bull sh*t man. imo if someone asks for a refund in a case like this is should just be given.

i remember my first deal on az. it feels just like it was yesterday. i was deployed in iraq and just found out about azbilliards. i saw this beautiful cue i wanted. I wrote out a personal check for $785 and mailed it out. the cue i bought showed up at my house and i didn't get to inspect it for another 5 months. the cue was perfect.

my buddy socal rick wanted to buy a Tim Scruggs cue with an ivory joint. someone told him he had a $2800 ivory jointed scruggs. my buddy rick says that's a lot of cash to spend on a cue that i can't test hit first. so the guy mails rick the cue and says if you like it keep it and pay me. if you don't just send it back.

is it just me or do you guys miss the good 'ol days when you could trust people on az. it was like a huge dysfunctional family full of cue snobs and cue flippers but you always got done right.

Courtesy of thread on post #2 ...

It's unfortunate that the cue purchase transaction developed some unexpected wrinkles but if forum user "mzbhavnhrl" assures you that he'll make things right, I believe you'll ultimately find him to be a stand up kinda guy and he won't bullshit you.

His explanation of the circumstances that lead up to this situation might not sit well with you, however, based upon my experience dealing with him, I consider him to be a man of his word. He may not be able to provide you with the same cue you originally wanted but you'll either be satisfied with another cue he may propose or your payment will be returned. Obviously, the final proof is in the pudding and so I trust you'll soon feel better about having done business with this forum member.

And now ...

You can still trust people on AZ.......you just have to know who those people are. That's usually pretty easy to find out with a minute amount of legwork.

Just to clear things up on my end, I am Gary Meeks and i do have the James White. I DID however get it from Brian awile back. I have dealt with Brian a few times and everything has gone well. I have seen he has had a couple of bad deals as of late but I have not dealt with him probably in over a year or so. I used his pictures when i was asked about it because i wasnt at home and i could pull them up and send them. I have never really put the cue up for sale, it has been sitting in my collection for some time now. So Bavafongoul if you ever want it, it is still here in my possession.

It's a terrible thing when you are robbed of your money, belongings or IDEAS!! I feel your pain...Just remember there is such a thing as Karma. What goes around comes around. Thieves always get theirs in the end!!!

On some other forums I belong to we like to send members to have a little "talk" with said bad guy. Problems have been solved :bash:

I am with Bryan here, you have his address, just drop in and pay him a little visit and simply "explain" to him why what he did was wrong.

My bad deal was 4-years ago, and Brian had bad deals prior to that under different usernames.
Brian Kozy has been at this for quite a while.
The guy is a stone cold thief, and the fact that he has some positive Itraders means nothing.
Jeff Forney had 48-positive Itraders.
Look at hangemhigh.

4-years ago Brian Kozy told me that the cop I sent to his house is a nobody, and his dad plays pool with the police chief.

But bava says authoritatively that he's a stand-up guy!

What to do?

After reviewing that thread, if the OP from Portugal would of mentioned Brian Kozy, I could of connected the dots to all of his aliases.
Bava must of changed his tune about this mzbhavnhrl.

Note to bava:
Don't try to be something that you are not

Donnie my friend I am truly sorry to hear this happened to you. Your a really great guy who deserves to be treated a lot better than this. Hopefully things will be made right and you get your hard earned money back.
