think I need deflection

If you want a Revo with standard wood deflection behavior, Predator makes one for Carom players with standard deflection. Of course, it will have a carom taper. Just FYI.
If you're a sponsored player, they make standard revo's with +40% - that's about a conventional wood shaft deflection.
Chang Jung Lin was using this previously (RIP)

1. How has the ferrule been modified to increase deflection?
2. What is the ferrule made of or what does it come from?
3. What is the width of the ferrule/vault plate?
4. Is it a Cynergy vault plate?
Tenon was not bored out as hollow, bore diameter also matters.
Ferrule was made from the same material as the revo white 'vault plate' / ferrule.
what material you choose to use depends on the hit you're after. many have had good results with tomahawk as well.

if you're a qualified cuemaker, you should roughly have a sense of how things affect the amount of swerve, deflection - adjust the specs based on your experience / trial & error.

Personally, i still prefer the feel & feedback of wood. But i'm trying to make a CF shaft that i wouldn't mind playing without much adjustment as in the long run the CF would not warp. it is just more durable than wood..

if it makes you look ladylike to wear a glove then i might as well also wear a pocketbook.

so i dont have to stuff all the cash in my front pockets.

did not know that, but makes sense since the taiwanese/chinese like higher deflection. i believe he too came from a southwest before predator. RIP champ.

What did you end up going with?

Has it changed the way you approach shots like the inside three rail example from the OP?
I've shot with a number of different shafts with different diameters that were all made from blanks, all of them bored out at least .250. All of them also had plug ferrules. Some of them the tenons were bored out too.
I'm now started to go back to predators, I think they hit better. I have an old 314 and just got a vantage to give a go.

I switch too much to be a decent player, did the same with golf clubs for years.
