Nice cues! I really like the forearm on the Cam cue, but I love that Jensen! What are the veneer colors?

Hi John,

The colors are double mahagony, light blue green (Szam like), and natural.

Regards,

Steve

Here's a few more pics for ya! This is a Model 13 from Palmer's third catalog in the '70s, which was introduced after Gene Balner passed away. It has a ton of mother of pearl inlays and hits with authority. I believe this cue was made when Helmstetter was providing blanks. It is in original condition with the big butt and what I think is a Penn wrap. It raises some eyebrows at the poolroom!

Hi Michael,

It was a pleasure meeting you, too! How much further did you go in the tourney? Looked like you were doing well.

Thanks for the feedback on the Jensen! It's a real nice old cue that's still got a lot of miles left. Do keep an eye out, as I'm going to be getting rid of some inventory at some pretty reasonable prices. In fact, Brett's coming over tonight to check out the BCM Cue I told him about on Tuesday. I think he's got some money from the State Championship he might need to invest ...

Take care and thanks for your post. I'm sure we'll be talking again in the near future.

Regards,

Stvee

That Sirca is beautiful.... how's the hit? How does it play? Is it his standard 3/8-10 joint? can you post more detailed pics?

Hi Shadowcat,

The cue plays very stiff and has a nice resonance. It has a Kamui medium tip with an LBM ferrule (all the other white stuff on the cue is ivory). The pin is a standard 3/8-10 flat face, which gives the cue a really solid feeling.

I think Greg's cues are some of the best deals on the cue market. If you had this cue made by anyone else, you would be looking well over a grand just for the inlays...

I haven't had it done, but I think a nice black leather wrap would just set this cue off!

Here's a couple more pics. Thanks for your post!

I agree, a black leather wrap would make that an incredible looking cue.
I'm not a big fan on linen wraps. That's also a lot of white stuff for the price.

Thanks Dean! I just wanted to mention that the Schon has a little chipping around the bottom of the buttcap. When I had the cue refinished, I wanted to keep the logo intact (see pic). Other than that, the cue is in really nice shape...
