This is why Earl can't gamble in the Philppeans

LOL
Just in first few minutes , I heard bird chirping, rooster crowing
When I open my own pool room, I will replicate such distractive noises to separate the men from the boys LOL

Cool video - thanks.

Do you know what's going on when spectators mark some ball positions with powder? Are they betting somehow?

I believe they are picking up insects.....
...so they won't be bugged by skids.
:)

correct. It's just like golf "the pool game" It's cue ball fouls only, so they do that incase a player moves a ball they can put it back where it belongs.

But you see why these guys are so focused when they play, which is what i wanted to add to in the beginning when i said there were other things going on. What's amazing is that there are a ton of guys that actually give Efren weight, and a lot of it too.

When you watched that video and decided to make a post her about it, did you even notice that "Philippines" is on Efren's shirt and you still spelled it wrong??

Yes I did notice it, thought I was but didn't care enough. Good for you, thanks for chimming in (that ones just for you)

In Greece, they separate the men from the boys with a crow bar !

So is Efren now considered a 2nd tier player in the Philippines? I noticed that he has been getting weight from these young unknown players.

Ya, I've seen (scanned) through few of these matches on Youtube and it seems like few young guns are GIVING weight to Efren in money games. Not sure if it's something they do to prove themselves or to get the game or just plain crazy :D

They seem to be betting on every game as action between games can be just as furious. I've seen players wait out the bets between games before they break again. And they are very close to the table and sometimes have one or many ball boys moving around to collect balls.

It's a great pool experience, but I didn't appreciate that fellow in the crowd who kept making rooster noises! :p

as a matter fact what surprises me the most and always has is the fact that efren is so great in the Philippines and does so much yet you would think that he or others would of brought so many players over here by now. There is now way that out of all those people and players that they only grant visa to they ones that we know already, efren, ronnie, carlo, alex, etc. It's not north Korea

You might consider the possibility that most Pinoy players have little interest in coming to the USA for a number of reasons.

I never really understood any player complaining about "sharking", be it their opponent moving in the chair, or noises in the crowd, or a waitress walking by

Maybe I am weird, but unless someone physically touches me while I am down on a shot, or makes some abrupt noise that would startle you in any situation... I hear and see nothing but the table. It is like the whole room goes blurry, and a soundproof bubble envelops the table.
