George Breedlove is closing in on Keith, scoring another game. Keith 5, George 4.

Dennis is on top of Fu, 6 to 4. As I walked by, Dennis called a foul on Fu, the way he stroked the ball. Dennis made a downward motion with his hands, as if Fu shot the ball wrong. Fu denied it, and then a referee came to the table. Playing Dennis Hatch in this setting is quite difficult. He wiggles in his chair while the other player is at the table. Jimmy Wetch was playing alongside Keith and Dennis' table, and Jimmy asked Dennis to please sit down because Dennis was sharking Jimmy.

How about that Sam Monday!

JAM

Mika is 6 to 1 over Johnny Archer.

Earl is playing a rival match with Gerda on the TV table, but I can't see the score.

Ronnie O'Sullivan 6, McKenna still 2.

JAM

Dennis Hatch vs. Fu, 6 to 6. McKenna makes a score to 3, Ronnie O'Sullivan still at 6. McKenna just took a bathroom break. Each player is allowed a 5-minute break.

JAM

Earl gets his revenge on Gerda, 8 to 2 for the match.

Breedlove ties with McCready, 5-5.

Dennis Hatch is on the hill with Fu.

Johnny Archer makes a score, Mika 6, the Scorpian 2.

JAM

Keith Bennet triumphs over Chris Orme, 8 to 1.

The seating for the spectators isn't great when the player is in the back of the huge room with 60 tables, and that just happens to be here Keith is playing George Breedlove. Every time I glance over, Keith is benched. Doens't look good for Team McCready, as George seems to have put it in turbo charge at the time of this writing.

Shannon Daulton is down with a score of 3 to Tom Storm who is on the hill.

JAM

Danny Basavich is stuck with a score of 2 against Sarah Ellerby who's at 5 right now.

Hatch wins his match against Fu, 8 to 4.

Breedlove takes the lead on Keith, 6 to 5.

JAM

Breedlove is on the hill with 7 against Keith with 5.

McKenna wins another game against Ronnie O'Sullivan, but Ronnie still holds the lead, 6 to 4.

JAM

Tom Storm beats Shannon Daulton, 8 to 3.

I'm afraid to walk back in the room to see Keith's match with George on the hill.

Meanwhile, Kelly Fisher is still trying dilligently to make travel arrangements to Peoria.

If the IPT should fail (and we hope, hope, hope not) there are many like me that will wonder if KT's decision to exclude her may have been shortsighted (though I know she missed the initial applications stage during her surgery and recovery, there were several avenues by which he could have included her). It would pain me to think that her inclusion could have been the straw that "strengthened the camel's back."
WBM, I usually agree with you but I have to disagree with part of this. Jeanette certainly draws attention, but that's no reason to just hand her a spot. Jennifer B is currently garnering attention wherever she goes & she wasn't handed a spot. IIRC, KT said that he wanted people that were excited about the tour so most of his choices went to the people that were most excited... the ones that applied early. JL didn't apply so why should KT think that she wanted anything to do with it? If she didn't show an interest, why should KT have gone out of his way to include her in anything?

Someone claiming to be a personal friend of Jasmin Oschuan is on the main forum complaining because Jasmin can't play in the "mens" open in VA and because she has to qualify to play in the women's open.

For me personally.... watching people (JL & JO and/or JO's friend) expect people (KT) to come to them and hand them things instead of someone getting up and making it happen on their own is a sign of arrogance that annoys me to no end. I don't know JL but I can tell you that the story she did with BD certainly didn't do anything to help turn me into a fan. I was completely turned off by all the excuses and the simple fact that she expected someone else (KT, WPBA, whoever) to make things happen for her instead of her putting forth the effort to make it happen herself.

Sorry for hijacking Jam's report thread but.... this post is IPT related. ;)

Keith lost to George Breedlove, 8 to 5.

McKenna is climbing back, with a tie, 6 to 6, against Ronnie O'Sullivan.

My GOD Jennie, you make it so visual with your descriptive writing, I can almost imagine being there. I'm tempted to fly in Thursday just to witness this event but I think you have to have tickets in advance to get in. Is that still the case?

Thanks for writing in these great visual reports. It's almost like being there.

Warm Regards,

Hi Timberly,

How have you been since the DCC??

Anyways, regarding your comments....I totally agree!! Alex slacked off too and didn't apply because he didn't believe it was for real. When he found out that it was, it was too late. SO, he played the DCC qualifier just like every other person trying to qualify ...... and won!!! I truly believe that if you want to be on this tour, you should earn it from here on out. No freebees or bs like that cause it only makes the people who really deserve to be on tour mad. The ones who are on tour paid their dues and deserve to get the chance at the money, right?

JL is a good person, yet she does tend to try and steal the limelight wherever she goes, and a lot of times she gets her way. Being a girl pool player, I don't think we should get treated any different when it comes to competition, so I do believe whoever wants to be on tour should go and try qualify. Because frankly, if you can't win a qualifier, then hell you don't deserve to be on the tour.....plain and simple. For all the ones who applied and got in, hey congrats to them for being on the ball about things!!!:D

I believe I saw on the IPT website that they're selling tickets at the door for this event. If you can afford to go and have the time to go... I can't for the life of me understand, not going. ;)

Sorry about Keith's loss to Breedlove but he can be a monster.

How is the redneck (Scotty Townsend) doing against Little Napoleon?

TYFE. (THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING).

Danny Basavich loses to Sarah Ellerby, 8 to 2. Danny said he has a cracked rib and is in pain, but he's still giving it his all.

Keith and I are bummed to the max, but depending on how everyone else does in Keith's bracket, there's a chance he could squeeze in, IF -- and that's a big "if" -- he beats his next opponents bad and others in his bracket do poorly.

Time will tell.

LOL, I've been "patiently" awaiting the next DCC :D

Props to you for staying home with the kids and not wanting to distract Alex... I'm not a big enough person to have done that. LOL, the selfish side of me would've made sure that I was there to see this spectacle of an event in person. :p

Thanks for sharing your opinion on the situation. It's always nice when someone has the same opinion as you...that means that I'm not a complete lunatic because if I were, no one would agree with me. :D

Hope all is well in your world and the family is healthy & happy. From the looks of the way Alex is playing, baby's definitely gonna have some diapers when daddy gets back. ;)
