Vincent said to watch out for Fu from China. He's beaten Orcollo already 8 to 7, ran 4 racks in that match, and in the next match against Ivan Putnick from Croatia, he ran four consecutive racks again. He's breaking well and is the guy to watch. This is the very first time Fu has played outside of China. He doesn't understand one word of what's going on, not being able to speak English very well, but he's making a good showing here in Vegas. He's the player who's making strides, the dark horse, if you will.

This Fu guy is scaring the crap out of me, and i'm pretty sure he's scaring the crap out of everyone in Vegas. He beat Orcullo, then Putnick? I just looked over all his matches of this tournament...he did lose 3 matches, but those all went hill-hill.

Didn't Colin say that Liu Wei (the one who couldn't obtain a visa) is even better than Fu? Geez, if the IPT stirs things up in China, the numbers say the Chinese will eventually dominate the entire pool world in a decade or sooner. They have over a fricken billion people over there...LOL!

Why is Efren playing? I thought he was the current King of the Hill. Shouldn't he be waiting for the winner like Sigel did in the last tournament?

OK so that EVERYONE gets it...

The King of the Hill is the person who is on top of the MONEY LIST when the King of the Hill INVITATIONAL tournament comes up at the end of each year. Whoever is the King of The Hill at that time is automatically in the finals of THAT TOURNAMENT ONLY. THe rest of the year the players are playing to determine who will be the king of the hill.

Last year Mike was the first King of the Hill and Efren defeated him to take the crown for 2005. IN 2006 everyone starts with ZERO.

CBS is here doing an interview with Keith and Mike Sigel about the 20th anniversary of "The Color of Money." Keith and Mike will exchange some quips, lines from the movie. Keith said he's going to let Mike make all the balls, but Keith will use the line, "It's like a nightmare, isn't it?" They are going to ask about how pool has changed from 1986 and today, what the IPT means to both of them, and what their vision is for the future as a player.

Thank you for clearing that up! I wasn't sure how that worked. So given that there are several tournaments this year, the one currently going on and the one in September at Reno, how do they determine the KOH? Will it be whoever wins the last tournament of 2006 or will it be based on all the tournaments played?

Doesn't seem fair to Efren. Mike makes a bundle playing Loree and then makes a nice payday playing Efren. Now Efren has to go through the round robin process all over again.

The KOH is the person with the most money out of this years tournaments. Excluding this tournament, no players have any money. They all have $0 before this tournament including Mike Sigel. ... I think I am right anyway.

Aw, the whole shi-bang last year was just to get this tour off the ground. Just something to set the stage. A very expensive but enticing initial offering but it did its job.

Don't worry about Efren. Historically, stick a big chunk of change there and he's going to grab it or pile-up the points.

I wish the American media, whether mainstream or pool, would do something like this for the upcoming Mosconi Cup. An interview with Earl, Ralf, or any one of the players would be cool for pool.

If Matchroom Sports can produce a documentary about an American champions like Earl, it is a shame that the American media, whether pool or mainstream, cannot do something comparable.

At this stage, since the Cup is next week, it may be took late, but if a few industry sponsors pooled their funds together and worked in tandem with the pool media, something cool could be accomplished.

It doesn't have to be on T. Social media like YouTube, et cetera, is a vehicle to showcase this. If the video snippet is well done, it could be picked up by TV shows and go viral. If it went virtal, well, that's a great way to put pool on the map. :wink:

If I had the technology and the knowhow, I'd do it in a heartbeat.
