haha I just searched for posts about thorsten, being a big fan, and found this thread. There aren't many threads to sift through that he's posted in, it's too bad he's maybe too busy (or too shy) to post more.

Thorsten hasn't posted in the forums for a very long time and he has his reasons.
I have asked Thorsten to particpate in the straight pool forum in the past, and he has yet to participate, but I know he has at least looked at it. I will ask him again when I see him at the event in Jacksonville next week, but I don't believe he will particpate in the forums. Toastie checks his messages at myspace a few times a day - that is the best place to get in touch with him unless you have his cell number.
Many have PM'd me and asked me about what i meant by my last post. A while back there were some ugly comments made in this forum about Charlie Williams and Thorsten was outraged, and at the time I couldn't have agreed more with him. It's sad that people don't understand the close bond between players and how you become family to each other. Thorsten and Charlie are as close as family, as close as brothers, and that is why Thorsten was disgusted with the comments that were made. Hopefully Thorsten will come back to the forums when the proper respect is given to the best players in the world.

Unfortunately, MOST professional pool players find the forums a mine field and most of the time they can also expect a constant bomboardment of criticism from nay sayers, wannabees and jealous small-minded individuals.
Most are not willing to separate the wheat from the chaff and prefer to avoid the forums for a variety of reasons.
Tell TOASTIE to start blogging. That way he can control who posts on his blog and he can say just what's on his mind and when. It would be interesting to read what is on his mind.
