Thorsten Hohmann will be doing a class at Shooters Family Billiards in Wayne NJ on Dec 11-12. He will be doing the Playing Ability Test (Thorsten Style) among other trainings with ONLY 20 students. There are so many great things going on out East. Too bad I'm stuck in the Midwest! I'd love to take advantage of these types of opportunities...14.1 tourneys, Sigel's out there, Hohmann teaching, Grady's room,....

Anyone that passes on this opportunity needs to examine there head.

This troubles me...what is this world coming to when we no longer take the opportunity to invest in knowledge?!?! I know the economy is tough, but GOOD LAWD!

It is a little far for me, But I am also suprised that no one on AZ from that area has taken advantage of this unique oppertunity.

Could've used better planning?

Guys:

No offense, but it's a BAD time to be scheduling pool school classes -- only a couple weeks before the Christmas holiday (and the notice of which is only a week or so in advance)? Most folks have their funds locked-up with Christmas purchases already. If they're scheduled to attend pool school during this holiday season, that's because it was schedule a l-o-n-g time in advance.

Don't get me wrong, I would love for you guys to fill Thorsten's class -- this is a rare opportunity to learn from one of the true greats in our sport. But some better advance planning could've been done.

Again, please don't take this as an attack. Rather, just as an explanation for "what could be happening," as well as a suggestion to improve the response for future events.

Thank you Sean for your feedback. We picked this date because he is here playing in the Turning Stone and had this event scheduled over a month ago. We notified our regular customers first then the local APA and TAP leagues, we posted it on our FB page and the last 2 weeks posted it on AZ. I'm just surprised more players haven't taken advantage since it's such a great deal. It works out to be like $15 an hour.

Will anyone be assisting Thorsten? It would be hard to give alot of individual time to 20 students if he's the only one doing the instruction.
 
No, noone will be assisting Thorsten. Over 14 hours everyone should be getting some undevided attention. I know he will be doing the Playing Ability Test Thorsten Style.
 
I'm sorry I can't make it this weekend. Please keep us informed in case he does this again in this area.
 
Better Planning. It's Xmas

Why would anyone plan anything so close to a holiday? Reminds me of non-football people planning their wedding on Super Bowl weekend and wondering why nobody comes to their wedding. Much like planning two big pool tourneys too close to each other. And what about short notice. Purchasing plane tickets on short notice is much more expensive. Hey, I just had an idea. Let's al az'ers meet for breakfast at Denny's in Liberal Kansas (centrally located) about 6 am tomorrow! Be there or be square!
