Thorsten vs. Schmidt 14.1 only - or all around

Yes I think I would put Thorsten as very slight favorite still. Very slight. They are both 400 ball runners (John twice of course). Both have notable 14.1 titles to their credit. I've heard people who know more than me and have seen more players than me say that Thorsten belongs among the top straight pool players of all time. That's why I give him the slight edge.

Yes that was the Maryland 14.1 Final that Schmidt won 150-21 that I wrote about before...seems like a larger percentage believe Thorsten is the slight favorite when both are playing great straight pool...its a match I'd pay to watch and I think alot of others would too.

But it's no secret that he has a lot of things he loves to do outside of playing pool. When you aren't playing as much as someone who is you will not be the favorite against them as others have pointed out.

I understand and agree..but I started by saying both preparing for the match for 3 months..so they will both be playing their best..that's the point..I get it that Thorsten is favorite when John isn't playing much and still might be when John plays everyday, but this is about both practicing for months and bringing their best game.
