How far we've come when thrift stores have silent auctions for cues!!!Another Rich cue!
I've been going through my cues, can barely move in my office, there is a similar one on the floor behind me with 3 brown pearlized plastic rings. Same joint rings. Same forearm wood. Same pin and collar. Has a segmented wrap.
Ubiquitous, plenty around, typically found inexpensive. Often in nice condition.
Fun to find, fun to own, fun to play with. If you find one and don't want it, easy to sell.
I got a Rich cue pretty cheap and sent it to Rick Howard to make a new shaft for it.......
I smile everytime I play with it. I probably will give it to one of my grandsons as a starter cue.
For those folks that might pick up one of these cues with a crappy shaft, I recommend talking to Rick and have him make one of his killer shafts for it.
Best of rolls,
Ken
On the floor? Get some wall racks and put them up.Another Rich cue!

Dude, thank you. You have no idea what I am dealing with here. It's insane. I sent pictures to a friend of the stacks of cases. I think he now knows I am absolutely nuts.On the floor? Get some wall racks and put them up.
Look at it this way if you don't have them then it can be destroyed or sitting in someone's garage. You're bringing life to them.Dude, thank you. You have no idea what I am dealing with here. It's insane. I sent pictures to a friend of the stacks of cases. I think he now knows I am absolutely nuts.
Wall racks? I need bigger walls.
Cheap, expensive, custom, production...and then there are the cases. OMG the cases.
This is a special kind of bizarre craziness.
And I will take anything to the hall to shoot with. I played a 9 ball tournament with a cue over 100 years old. Did I win? No. I beat over half the players with that cue though, and that's more than enough. Damn thing is like a baseball bat. LOL!
It's a disease. Incurable I am sure.
The only solace I have is that I probably have more firearms than cues. And I shoot them better. LOL!
I confess it is mental disease. But it's better than being a commie.
Do not tell the crazy redhead how many cues I have, she might want another designer purse....and I have two rooms in the house with display cases full of those things.
Side note: The crazy redhead was out with her aunt. They were looking at designer purses. The crazy redhead said she might buy one. The aunt said "shouldn't you ask your husband?" So, she bought two, and told he aunt "my husband lets me buy what I want and even picked out the designer purse I am carrying".
Yeah, I picked out a purse. She carries a switchblade. What else should I do?
I will die poor. Others play the market. I will die happy.
So, buy that Rich cue! Play the heck out of it! Or sell it...or have a custom shaft made and play it. Heck, screw a CF shaft on it and call it a resto-mod!
Live your best life. I will. Just don't tell the crazy redhead.
Sweet... The green Marbelette is my favorite... Looks like a Mid 60's Rich-Q by Sol Rich... Let me know if you decide to sell her... I'm in if you do...! Peace out...!This is at my local thrift store on a silent auction. Appears pretty straight.
Anyone know what kind of cue it is?

And then somebody came up w this idea for a wheel...I think my first cue was a Rich.
That photo brings back memories, though mine had a brass joint.
