A rematch from Valley Forge.... Mike has a score to settle. ;)

Andy thanks for the update. You guys had a great turn out with some strong players. I'm just sick that I'm not there this wkend! :(

LOL, if I was there I'd have stolen Andy's computer and I'd be doing play by plays right now. :D

Yes. Todd Elkins is there and is doing cue repair. He re-wrapped a cue for me last year and did an excellent job and I had him put a new tip on this time. Excellent work as usual.

What happened to Kevin West? I see he forfeited out of the tournament.
A good friend of his is getting married this weekend and he couldn't make it.

Todd Elkins of Parrot Cues is fast becoming one of the most sought-after cue-makers on the East Coast. QUICK turnaround and personalized attention to detail are his hallmarks and is the kind of service his customers enjoy. AND he's not a bad shot himself, I must say, having seen him compete on the tournament trail on a few occasions. :)

BTW, where's the morning update of Great Slates?!

One of Richmond's finest, here's a pic taken at the 2005 Virginia 9-Ball State Championship, Keith posing with a true Virginia gentleman, Todd Elkins.

More later!

I'm interested to hear who won between Hatch vs. Davis and Ferrell vs. Wilkie.

I see young Brandon Shuff is on the B side of the charts. The poor kid is going to be getting a wake-up call on his cell pretty soon. :p

Rise and shine, Brandon dear! JAM wants to hear the smut! :D

I too am curious to know what happend. :(

Let Brandon get his beauty sleep. I just sent a text msg to Celeste.... it's her mans fault that we were left in the dark, it's only right I go to the people responsible. :p

I noticed on the chart that Liz Ford was still on the winners side but that she was up against Matt Clatterbuck. Matt shoots lights out and I thought it was going to be a one sided match. It seems that Matt won but not before Liz got on the hill! She might've lost the match but I bet she played some great pool last night!

Dennis Hatch def Mike Davis

Lee Holt def Josh Brothers

Brett Stottlemeyer def Cary Dunn

If I'm reading this text msg correctly... still waiting to hear about Shaun & Sparkys match

EDIT::: Shaun Wilkie def Sparky Ferrell

Thanks for the update, Timberly. :)

Next blue-plate special on the menu will be Dennis "The Hatchet" Hatch vs. Shaun "The Shirt" Wilkie on the winners' side!

Man, some great matches out there! They are lucky I didn't show up and...get rolled over!!

Thanks for all the updates, folks!!:D

Hi All!

Sorry to be so negligent of our internet fans! It was a late night for me...came back from 2-6 to win 7-6 but then lost 7-6 at 1:30 early this morning.

So anyways...now I'm available for posting being that I have very little to do all day.

The match last night with Hatch and Davis saw Davis with a 5-4 lead but Dennis came right back to win 7-5. Shaun Wilkie took down Sparky Ferrell also by 7-5. Lee Holt stopped Josh Brothers 7-3. Alan Duty reversed a 4-0 deficit to Nick Prinsloo to win 7-6.

Liz Ford played well against Matt Clatterbuck. She found herself at hill-hill shooting a short shot on the 8 ball with less than a half pocket past the 9 ball. Everybody watching had an opinion on the shot, safety or combination. After careful deliberation, Liz went with the "less than half" pocket option and these tight Gabriel tables hung it up.

Some early rounds this morning saw some "refocused" players and Prinsloo shot flawlessly to win 7-0. Sparky got no relief from a tough Wilkie match and drew Jerry Slivka. Not a problem as Sparky won 7-3.

Josh Brothers came back from a deficit to beat Brandon Shuff.

Hatch and Wilkie will be starting momentarily as will Stottlemyer/Holt, Clatterbuck/Joey Ryan and Myke Munoz/Alan Duty.

I'll see if I can find a good seat...

Chart is updated on http://www.planet-pool.com

Andy

Well, I've got a great seat with wireless! Only thing better would be if I were playing!

The "back" room has changed. There are now 6 tables in here. The wall is gone connecting 2 other 9 ft tables. The bar tables from up front are now where the 9 ft tables used to be. So I can see all 8 matches without moving.

Hatch just ran out the first rack in about 90 seconds!

Ed Deska just won 7-5.

Wilkie/Hatch 2-2.

Ryan/Clatterbuck 1-2
Munoz/Duty 2-1

Southern gentleman Cary Dunn from Richmond is up 6-5 on Randy Schwager.

Lee Holt down 1-2 to Stottlemyer.

Hatch hung up a long 4. These tables are tight! Wilkie 3-2.

John Moody Jr beat his dad late last night 7-6. John Moody Sr is the Great Slates room owner and a great supporter of pool. John Jr is taking on Sparky right now.

Liz Ford is battling it out with Mike Ricciardella. Score 5-3 but not sure which way.

Schwager just hit an 8-9 combo to tie it up on the hill.

Wilkie goes up 4-2 but Hatch has ball in hand with an open table.

Hatch runs out faster than I can type! On the 8...on the 9...in! 4-3

Ryan 2-2 with Clatterbuck.

Liz now down just 5-4 to Ricci.

Holt 2-2 with Brett.

Holt 3-2 with a 9 on the break.
Dunn at the table but not completely wide open. Dunn makes some nice clutch shots and has a more open table now on the 3.

Munoz goes up 3-2.

Hatch almost out now so I may as well type it up! 7...8...9 in... 4-4

Clatterbuck up 3-2
Ricci up 6-4

Dunn missed a tough 8 off the rail - Schwager wins.

Hatch hangs 4 in same corner as before - frustrating pockets!

Sparky/Moody 3-2

Wilkie is out 5-4

Clatterbuck up 4-2

Stottlemyer ties it up 3-3 with Holt.
