Any updates on how the tourney is going so far?

There was some very good 1 pocket action going on yesterday. Pooky lost 3 in a row to a guy from Baltimore they call Tom Tom. The man can play a mean game of 1 pocket. Brandon Shuffet suggested I buy him in the calcutta, so I took his advise. I believe Tom Tom is gonna take it down. I will be there again today.

Tom-Tom is actually from Silver Spring, Maryland, and is a very good friend of mine. I've known him since I was a young'n, and in a strange way, it is Tom-Tom who got me into this pool racket. He introduced me to my first pool room experience. One-pocket is Tom's specialty. So Brandon steered you right! :D

I'd love to see Tom-Tom win this one. He actually won the one-pocket event at the Capital City Classic many moons ago. He kind of got out of pool for a while, but maybe with a victory under his belt, he'll be back!

Thanks for the update! :)

P.S. I'd post up Tom's picture, but I know he's be pissed at me if I did. He kind of likes to fly under the radar, but if he wins this event and his mug is on the Tiger Tour website, then I'll have a photo to add to this thread sine die!

This just in...

Just got a call from Ryan "Genie Man" McCreesh en route to the one-pocket event. He said Pooky and Matt Clutterbuck engaged in some action last evening, for two-and-a-half large sandbags. When Genie Man left, Matt was stuck two games. To be continued today, I presume! :p

Ryan is still in the tournament and hopes to do well his next round. :)

Jerry Sliva was a no-show. Word is that he is working a 9-to-5-er these days. Good for him because pool sure don't pay the bills!

Mike Davis got knocked out of the tournament yesterday.

Sounds like there's action over there in Sterling today. Hope to hear an update by day's end! :p
