She's on GSN's Ballbreakers right now. She's the first person that I've seen on the show whose name I've seen in WPBA brackets. The other female is Laurie Wagner. I don't know the name, but a caption said WPBA member. I'll keep my eye on these two.

I noticed that too....

Did she kick the 8 ball in or jump over the 9 to make it? I turned my head for a sec & the 8 was in the pocket...

it would make for better entertainment if when the host interrupts on the nine ball the player just whacks him over the head with the stick then goes ahead and shoots. :)
I agree... I don't really recall him doing it every 9 ball until last week.... Cue upside the head or shoved down the throat would be sufficient. :D

I liked it ...

I thought it was very entertaining ...

Puts the 'Challenge table' right in your front room.

There were some good shots made. That Laurie
surprised me. Chuck choked twice.

Tina is a doll.

This week was enjoyable to watch also. Two weeks in a row, WOOHOO!! :D

Wow...

Thanks to all of you for your great posts. You guys are really great to me...

I really wish that last rack was runnable. I tried to get on the ball on the foot rail by drawing and trying to hit the bottom of the 8 and coast down somehow. When I didnt get it, I couldnt play safe because of their rules, so I had to just swing at it.

That left him dead out. Oh well. I walked away knowing I really didnt have a good shot at it. I felt kind of sick for Chuck. He was really sweet and really had to opportunity to get there. I talked to him on Friday in Hollywood for that promotional thing GSN was doing and he is still pretty sick about it. He says he tries not to think about it.

I've seen Chuck play in the tourneys at DannyK's. He plays real fast, laughing and joking with every shot. Fun to watch.

If I draw him, I think I'm supposed to get five on the wire, going to twelve.

Last nights show was worth watching strictly on entertainment. Even my wife was interested in the outcome. I asked her if she wasnt married to me if she would have stayed on that channel, and she said maybe. That would not be the case for a professional match. So who knows, maybe there is a start for a show like this. My wife liked the part about amatuers playing. She still wanted them to run alot of balls though.

I didnt like that for that railroad challenge (I think thats what they called it), Chuck got to make all 3 in 3 shots, yet the girl had to make it in 2. She should have been able to tie it. Not like there are alot of options for two-way shots in that setup.

Congrats to the winner.

Hey, too bad for you! Screw him! You took a big hit right off the bat in the opening game when she knocked that 9-ball in with a loaded table.

His loss was his own undoing and it had to catch up with him. He actually had a good eye for making balls, but he hit everything waaaay too hard and just loved watching the CB screw back with too much draw. Sometimes it worked out, but it ended up getting him in trouble for position on the final 9 after drilling in the 8 pretty hard. Since he doesn't want to think about it...tell him to think about his speed control in the future.

That's funny that you think that way. Normally, when someone is telling me about some bad roll they got, or how they scratched here or there, I frankly tell them maybe they should learn to play better next time. After that, I dont really hear much. You and me - maybe formed from the same mold.

Good showing.

It looked like that first fluke 9b combo was your undoing. You put together a great run in that last rack, but with their format it really is a "take the last few" format.

I like the show, and think you carried yourself very well. Especially your description of how you planned to capitalize through shrewd betting. You came off as more of a sportsman than the show normally sees.

Good luck in the real world of pool, you seem very talented.

Tina,

Just wanted to say you played with alot of class. Good job.

On the subjects of bad rolls, when I hear or think of that term, I always envison the opponent at the table. Example, when the other lady shit the 9-ball in on the the 3 ball combination during your game. That is a bad roll (for you). Not making the 9 and hitting it so hard or with the wrong english to go three rails and scratch in the corner, that's not a bad roll, that's a stupid mistake.

FWIW,

Jim

That Laura kind of impressed me at times. I couldn't believe that 9b combo she made off the 3 I think where she cut the 9 in the corner? She made a good cut shot on the 9 in the side too. She made some really good shots under all that pressure but she completely missed that duck of a two ball in the corner. Unbelievable considering the good shots she made.

I never thought I would watch the show again after the 1st airing.I can still hear some moron yelling combo combo.Last night there wasn't anything else on so I tuned in again and was surprised that the level of play was much better. It still needs some tweaking but at least you can watch it now and admire some shots and some good looking women.

She was pretty decent. And pressure can be a real motherflower! Especially that one rack where she had ball in hand on the 8 ball which was practically sitting in the pocket and the 9 ball was near the side pocket. That was the rack before that final rack I think.
