Or call Noel Mendoza. He worked for Schuler for many years and is starting his own shop building, repairing and working on cues.

He restored a Schuler for me at a reasonable price. There is a rumor that he is making a Piggy Banks Model Cue, to be unveiled this weekend at the Red Shoes One Pocket tournament.

This is all second hand and hearsay but I believe it is very close to what happened. It was in FEB of this year that the TRIMs sold everything at auction and let NOEL go without notice.

Depends on where in Chicago you are, but either Paul or Leo at Chris's Billiards on the northwest side are as good as anybody and they have a wide selection to boot. Good luck in your search. GF

Mike Dolehide at Matador Cues hooked me up with Noel when I needed a Schuler repaired.
Piggy called me and I hooked him up with Noel.
Rich93 tipped me off to the Dieckman quote.

I can recommend two full-fledged cuemakers in the northwest burbs who will put on tips and do other repair work, as well as make new cues.
The first is Tim Prince. He has put on tips for me, does a great job, and is very reasonable. His phone is 630-661-7805 and email is princecue@comcast.net. He lives in Hanover Park.
A little closer to the city - Noel Mendoza lives in Franklin Park and has already been mentioned. He worked for Schuler Cue for 14 years and was the production manager after Ivan Lee left. I just met him today and I'm having him refinish a Schuler and make a Schuler specialty taper shaft - his business card is below:

I do a lot of cue repair in and around the Chicagoland area and I'm mobile so I can meet you at a pool hall and do it on the spot in my mobile workshop.
I live on the Southwest side so if you're nearby there we can meet at any of the surrounding pool halls like Pockets, Red Shoes, or Protyme.
