11 3/4 mm tip for snooker ! Jeeze you may as well use a putter.
The norm for snooker is pretty muxh an individual thing but between 9mm and 10mm is used by almost all although there are some that'll go lower to about 8.5mm especially if they too play uk pool.
Funny but if you do the maths as i did based on a 9.25mm snooker tip being ideal for snooker size balls then for us pool the ideal is 11mm but if you do it in reverse and say 13mm which seems to me to be the most common for us pool then for snooker it's 11mm. or was it 12 i forget now
Seriously stick with what your happy with but give a much smaller tip a good try out before you do.
Elkmaster and Blue Diamond tips have dominated snooker for many a year but theres a growing trend to go for slightly harder laminaterd tips in recent years.I've always been content with the softest tip there is the elkmaster but from a box of 50 you can throw 10 away the consistency just aint up to much.
Laminated ones such as the talisman are much more consistent, dont mushroom so easily and last longer but on the downside they are 10 times the price and the odd one may delaminate. Of those that use talisman tips the soft are prefered , they are only just a bit harder than an elk and it's hard to tell.
An Omin tip seems the best to me, identical to the talisman as they are made by the same folks apparently but work out cheaper. If you can get them that is,at around £3 each.
