Tip & Ivory Ferrule Cost?

> I think it was Chris H. that mentioned the additional labor involved in fabricating the ivory ferrule blanks. This is 100% on the money. I don't think anyone that sells billiard-related supplies like ferrules and stuff sells pre-drilled and tapped ivory ferrules,so that work falls on the cuemaker/repairman. I've done just a couple, but can tell you with certainty that it's about twice as much work just to make the ferrule installable. The turning/facing/tipping part is no different than Aegis. It was also mentioned that there is always the possibility of the blank cracking when you go to tap/mill threads,if this happens you might have well just ate it. The ones I have done so far were both done for my best friend, who also shows my work to everyone that hasn't seen my work,so I did the work for free but he paid for the 20.00 blank both times. Once I start doing them for paying customers,50.00 with Lepro,Triangle,Elk Master or Sumo tips and a complete cleaning is what I plan to charge. Tommy D.
