Tip Press

This thread is about a tip press. In the cue machinery section.
Please argue about other issues in another thread.

Edit: The singles will be ready to ship by this weekend.
Thanks again

John

Sorry. I was just responding for a friend who is not on AZ to defend himself. I will respectfully bow out.

John, I reeived mine (4 hole) yesterday and it is just as described. If some one is thinkin about one , go ahead and let John at Rocket hook you up. He did xactly what he promised. Thanx for an original and in a timely manner.
Good Luck, Howard

Metal tip press stainless or "Edit: Aluminum" brass 1 to 4 tips. You tell me the Diameter of the tip i will get you an exact price. This is a 3 piece unit. Starting at $35 for the single. All you need is a vice. and the tips.

John
If you think about how many tips you can press with John's tool it will literally cost you nothing and give you consistent product that your customer can depend on at a resonable cost.

I am totally hooked on these Duds. I was only able to do one at a time in a small flat jaw hobby vise. The first 4 that I did were on the dry side. The second 4 were pressed for 48 hrs and came out much better. I've been using Talisman soft for awhile now and imo, these Duds are very comparable.
At around 50 cents a tip, you can't afford not to try one.

I hear a lot about a milk dud tip what actually is a milk dud?
Ron

Usually, it means an Elk Master tip (which is soft) soaked for a while in milk (or something similar) and then pressed to make it harder. Lots of info is available via Search.

I will be bringing what have not been already spoken for to Valley Forge. My cell is at www.rocketcues.com if you are there and need to get in touch with me.
Edit: Ran out of time to get the rest of the parts machined. I will have a couple pictures on my phone.

I like LePro's better than the Elkmasters

john, im interested in making some milk duds but i have 4 questions before i order your tip press.

1/ will you ship to europe?
2/ with the 4 tip press, how big does the C clamp need to be? Will i need 4 c clamps or is one good enough?
Can you pm me a pricequote for a 4tip press 14mm
3/ is the press inside domeshaped or flat?
4/ Is there any way to pay with paypal? moneyorders cost me an aditional 10€

Press received

Well executed, simple press and a simple transaction.
Bump for a nice guy with a good product.

Thanks, John.

John

Im confused

ok this thing sounds cool but is the tip press meant for pressing a tip to a ferrule or for compressing a tip to harden it?

Pm me if you want.

Thanks
