I want to experiment with a variety of tips for carom play to see what works best for me. Right now I have two shafts on my KF cue (www.poolcues.com.tw) and I really like the cue. It's a great cue. And, the KF tips are really good too.
I was thinking, though, of how on my pool cues and masse cues I have been so happy with the Sniper. What kinds of tips are most common on carom cues? I know Semih and Miguel use Moori, but I don't know if they use quick or medium.
I plan on competing one day in the future, particularly in Artistic Billiards, though perhaps in 3c, and I'd like to achieve the highest learning curve possible by centering first on the right equipment. I am perfectly satisfied with my KF cue, I love it. And since I have two shafts, I'd like to have two different tips. Should I just stick with a Sniper tip on my backup shaft?
Any input would be appreciated.
