Tips

It is going to be personal preference, of course, but I use Kamui Black Hard tips. Fantastic feel to them, and all my shafts have a stiff taper.

I guess i did not state that the shaft is about 25 years old and it was made from a Very old titles cue i put a milk dude on it need some thing softer for the tip ..
 
The tip is going to depend on the application:
Break cue: X hard to XX hard
Jump cue: XX hard
Massé cue: medium
Play cue section:
14.1 continuous: medium soft-medium
8-ball: medium-medium hard
9-ball: medium hard-hard

Notice the chart. A milk dud will be a hardness of 78 or higher usually, so just click the type tips you want (one piece or layered) then click the different tips and they will show you the hardness ratings for that tip.
Sounds like Elkmaster, Moori med, Sniper med or Tiger laminated med will work for you.
 
My best is medium moore, your best can be something else, but I just said what I would prefer.

Thanks guys i'm going to try the soft morri . And will post some up date and a picture of the shaft.
