***Thank you for the input, advice and speculation.***
It narrowed the field, but the cue has moved on to one of those resident experts, for better use and application.

*new pics of joint - butt added per a few requests* TIA.

This was recently ruled OUT as a Palmer by the authority, himself. I thought is was similar to a 2nd C, but a few, w/ much more knowledge than me say it better resembles characteristics of Rambow or another 60's custom.

We thought some of the AZ experts would be able to better id or come up w/ a definite id or some different possiblities. If possible, any help or insight is very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

It looks like it could be an early Paradise, does the ferrule screw off?

Haven't tried that but I will now....resemble the old yellow micarta ferrules. thanks for the input.

.....also hoping that Chopdoc guy shows up here as he seems to ID about 75% of the cues in here....LOL.

75%

Hey, I wish my percentages were that high! :D I like playing the ID game, but I don't think I do so great at it. I'm learning though.

That's a really cool cue! But I don't know who made it. I'll roll it around in my mind and see what I come up with though.

It does not strike me as a Rambow, but I am far from any kind of expert on those so I wouldn't take my word on that.

I'll be interested to know if the ferrule unscrews though...try them both. Paradise is a possibility.

The joint pin looks odd to me. Is that an 18 thread? That would be interesting, and odd I think for such a cue.

.

The joint pin and ferrules are too long to be a Rambow. Also, Rambow's butt plates tended to be more rounded, not with that edge. Is there a bumper on the butt plate? That pretty much eliminates Paradise, unless it was added later. If there is, and it looks newer, it could be a Paradise. Probably not a Palmer either. Most of those had longer points, when a Titlist blank was used, though a few had shorter, as this one. Could use some better pictures of the butt plate/bumper.

I think it is just one of those old cues that may never be identified. It could be this or that can go on forever, because it certainly has the characteristics of many different makers.

I don't think the cue is Rambow, the butt and the joint do not look right to me.

I AGREE WITH CRAIG, I DOUBT THIS ONE WILL EVER GET A VERIFIED ID.

I CAN SAY WITH CONFIDENCE, THAT IT IS NOT A RAMBOW. THERE ARE SEVERAL THINGS THAT MAKE ME THINK IT'S A PARADISE, BUT THE BACK END IS WRONG FOR A PARADISE.

WITH THE CUE IN HAND, THERE WOULD BE MORE THINGS TO LOOK AT, BUT WITH ALL THE VARIABLES, A 100% ID WILL BE TOUGH.

I agree this is a tough one.

I also have to say that butt cap seems awfully familiar. I think I have seen one before, but I simply can't place it.

You didn't send and invoice?

Geeze...get with the program....

Anyway, interesting that it is the 18 pin. That helps.

But as was said, this is a tough one.

I am still stuck on that butt cap...I could swear I have seen it before. I have a picture of it in my mind but it's like it's floating around not associated with anything. Usually when that happens to me it is a cue that I happened to see when I was searching for something else. I know I saw it, but that's all. What I can say is that leaves a glimmer of hope for an ID. If I remember seeing it on the web, then there is another one...and it may have an ID....and it may be found again if it's still online.....maybe.....
