I am considering doing a conversion project and want to use a Brunswick Titlist from the 50's or 60's rather than the old Brunswick 26 1/2 model. Assuming that I can find either a one-piece Titlist or a jointed Willie Hoppe Pro model in decent condition, is one better than the other for making a cue? Thanks, Dave

I think the best Titlist blank to convert , is what ever you can find , Thats the one I'd use .

A one piece Titlist is generally preferred, mainly because the Hoppe Pro already has a wrap groove cut in it for a leather wrap. In many cases Hoppe Pros can be used, but without a pre-existing wrap groove, your cue maker will have a blank canvas.

Mr. Hoppe,

I knew you would show up here to help this guy with you great experience and advise in the area of your expertise.

I had Commissioner Gordon put up the The Mr. Hoppe spot light last night, glad you responded because if I stared giving him advise he would be in real trouble!! :help:
