Here is one I put together, it is Purple Heart, I used a Ivory Cue Ball for the Butt cap.

It also has an Ivory Ferrule.

The top two pictures are before, and the last two are after I completed the conversion.

Thanks Johnny, the cue has standard 3/8-10 pin, I leave the pin a little longer at the end.

I get a tighter fit, and much more solid feel to the finished cue.

Circa 1963-64 early TAD. Interesting half joint, and no doubt a Harvey Martin influenced pin. Nice 2 tone original wrap. cue plays like my searings very responsive, and nothing like the current TADs.
