Hi guys,

Thanks for taking a look!

I've been looking through the various forums and would like to suggest a new section. This has probably come up a time or two, but I think it might take some of the weirdness out of a couple of the other sections or forums.

One of the biggest things I've seen problems with here are the identification and pricing of cues. The Wanted/FS section used to be used for types of questions, but the stuff that is actually for sale was vanishing to the fourth and fifth pages almost immediately.

We have a lot of categories that get very little use on AZB, but are still important to those that do use them. I would bet that a category that helped identify and establish value for cues would be very popular.

I collect a lot of different things and when I want to learn something about a new "thing", I find a chatroom that talks about just these types of questions without bothering people who already know about their goods and just want to sell them.

I recently put a cue up on the Main Forum to test whether it would be a good place to get an answer on a value of a pretty standard model of cue. I had a ton of views, but not one person could help. I don't think I'd have gotten much more off the NPR section, as politics seems to be king there (and let's face it, this is a pool related inquiry). I suppose it could work on the Cue & Case Gallery, but that is normally where people are displaying their cues and cases.

Would it be possible to start another section or to replace a section that doesn't get much traffic? If not, what would be the proper forum for questions about the ID and value of a cue or case?

Thanks again for looking and keep up the good work!

First suggestion for a new category, that I actually like.
I'm not sure we have so many posts that this absolutely needs to happen,
but "help me identify this cue" seems like it comes up a lot and there's a subgroup of people who probably love doing that and would enjoy their own forum.

Nah, we already have the cue and case gallery which serves this need, as well as ask the cue maker.

Thanks, Dave. At least I know where to ask these questions now....
