Too Old For Pool And Mustang

my shelby deal fell through
trouble with the title

my wife told me that i needed 500 horse power like i needed a new pool cue

so i guess i better start looking for a new pool cue

Dont fret over the Mustang deal, there is always a Hellcat to be had, plus they are a little bigger and easier to get into. If you think 500Hp woulda been fun you gotta try 750HP:thumbup:

The ultimate Mustang for my taste is this one. 1/4 mile is fun, but real roads turn left and right. This Mustang plays very well in the twisties...even with Porsche and BMW.

I was looking at those when I got my gt500 but to me it's not the king of the hill. I know it handles better but the outgoing model has more horsepower and power is king. I will tell you that there is something big coming possibly next year that will make the Hellcat look like a little toy. Annd no it's not a new gt500 no matter what some media outlets will have you believe.

My GPa Hot rod, love it.

To haul my 3 grandkids around, last fall got this 2006 4x4 Explorer with the OHC 24 valve V8 Mustang motor with 50K on the odometer. Found it in Aspen. It's nice ta pay 11K for a 40K vehicle. The leather seats don't even have cracks, a garaged car of course, its Aspen. Doesn't matter which mountain pass I go over, if the cruise is set, that's the speed it goes. It's always nice ta have a black vehicle on a mountain pass during a snow blowin' white out. Still hittin' em ok got to the finals of a 128 player event this past fall, bar table 8 ball. Fell flat in the finals. Finished my last match still on the winners side Sunday at 1am, drove home and had to play again that same morning at 10:30 am, what a joke. By the time the finals came it was 7pm. phew......no fun by that time, I'm 68.

Larry Vidus post pictures of your old 1965 and 1966 Shelby Mustangs

Larry was a personal friend of Carroll Shelby

He used to paint all of his personal cars

now he makes great playing cues with unique designs

Since I missed out on the 2007 Red Convertible with 500 HP and my wife told me it might be time to act my age,i am officially through buying Mustangs

unofficially I am still dreaming

Not long ago you posted you were not buying and selling cues any more. Which
sent me into a state of depression. I have spent years cultivating a supreme cue
lender, and now I thought I would have to start over. Just this past week you
posted various cues for sale. So I know better. Although I will say that you told
me to come to Dallas to borrow them, that kind of stuck in my craw. Our deal
has always been you send them to me, and I borrow them until I'm tired of them
and then you pay the postage and I send them back. Now if I'm in Dallas for
some other reason, sure I'll do you a favor and drive over and pick them up. But
every time I borrow some, nothing doing. And another thing, did your father act
his age. Mine did and I still have nightmares about it, so no way I'm falling for
trap.

That's what's nice about Mustangs...

You want 30 mpg? Got it. (ecoboost)
You want 1/4 mile? Got it. (blown V-8)
You want road course? Got it. (Flat crank GT350)
You want a well balanced compromise car? Got it. (5.0 GT)

Like custom cues, lots of choices...:)

I love my car... and I love pool. Hope I never have to do without either.

Man, the last liar doesn't stand a chance around here.

The other night I was at my favorite watering hole, sitting at the bar having a gin fizz, when this good looking chick walks up and sits down beside me.
We strike up a conversation, and a couple gin fizzes later, we head for her house in her new Mustang GT.
So, we're sitting there on her couch making out and she says, "Excuse me while I go in and change into something a little sexier. Oh, and by-the-way. I'm kinky."
In a few minutes she reappears wearing this black leather lingerie thing with chrome spikes all over it, black hose, and stilettos, and she has a mask on her face.
She says, "Well, big boy, are you ready?"
I look her square in the eye and say, " Yes, but give me a minute to catch my breath. I just got done screwing your cat."

And I'm 70. :D

I'm 73...wife & I drive to the Cue Ball in Salem, Oregon once a week to play for 4 hours or so. It's an 80 miles round trip. I'm sure not scaring any of the regulars with my low skill but I figure I'm having fun.

We go there in this...an '09 Bullitt model Mustang.
looking damn good
