Tool Box Lathe? Opinions needed yet again

Ok theres my hot rod go a head and build the engine , full interior spare no expense, now go down and get some rattle can and paint it. WTF you don't do that this lathe is shit ,shit , shit 1,100 for junk , just my 2 cents...

Check out Todd's lathe. He makes a nice starter repair lathe as does Lee and Chris.
You're just throwing money out the window here.

It all really comes down to what you are going to be doing with the lathe itself. You sure as hell aren't going to be building and cues on the lathe that bassel is selling on ebay. But if you want something that is a very basic repair lathe that is extremly portable is works. But for around the same price and with a lot more options you can get one from unique products that is just as portable. If this lathe is going to just sit in one spot and get a lot of use go the a hightower or brianna.

Spend your money smart and once you figure out everything you can do and know kinda how to do now. Get the next step up so you don't regret it later.

Bassels ebay lathe is what it is. Ultra portable and useable that is it. It is a great design it is just not for everyone.
