I use snooker fundamentals when it comes to shooting. The idea of the line of aim is what you might want to look into. Snooker players make sure their back foot is on the line of aim and not only the foot but the cue, elbow, bridge also line up within the line of aim, so that when you approach the shot, everything should line into place.
I assume you have your own table. If you got some sidewalk chalk and some tape, you could set up a straight line from the side pockets and onto the floor and practice that. If you can, set up a mirror on the opposite side and see if you're lined up. Just some ideas for your consideration. :grin:
