Top 10 or 20 pros' cues set ups?

but all that shit is pointless waste of time, Basically take with you the things you find you need over time (EXPERIENCE). that is what these guys do. add things and take away things as it becomes relevant.

People ask this about pro golfers ALL the time. What a lot don't realize/know is that most of the clubs that tour players get YOU can't. They are special, custom-made one-off's in a lot of cases. Special shafts, heads, etc. I don't think its quite like that in pool but my point is what a pro, or anyone else for that matter, uses should have zero effect on what you buy/use.

I've used AZ to keep informed on cueing equipment since I've been a member. The information from here is what I've used to choose the equipment I purchase and play with. What I do find interesting is the number of pros who are using CF shafts, which means that the technology works, but for me, I'm highly unlikely to change to CF. The wood LD shafts and the tips I use are satisfactory for my level of play.

guys have ran 11 racks in a row with regular maple shafts ..... the problem isnt the equip it is the player and willingness to achieve a higher level by practicing. also some people might simply be limited to natural ability.

most people buy all these new fangled things looking for a magic pill .... most people that play really well with CF could probably play just as well with a LD maple shaft....

There’s always plenty of responses in these threads about how it doesn’t matter what the pros use.

I get that in a way, but I feel like most of the people who ask aren’t looking for a magic combo that will make them play like the pro in question, they just want to know what works for someone who does it for a living.

With so many options, you’d have a better chance of landing on something that works for you if try out stuff that several experts also use.

I keep seeing people repeat this, but in my own personal experience and the experience with friends and league members, that has never been the case. People get CF for a variety of QoL benefits, never because they think it will magically make them shoot better.

Good thing we don't play snooker...After you decided to copy a pro and bought a crooked Power glide cue from the 80's for 10 dollars and the an elk master for another 10 with install you'd still have thousands of dollars that you had no idea how to spend:LOL:

This is my nomination for worst thread of 2022. I reserve the right to change my mind as it is only February.

You can go to www.predatorcues.com, select pro team and you'll get a list of their sponsored athletes. Click on the picture and you'll see what products from Predator they use. Predator sponsor's almost everyone. If you want the cue/shaft used by most pros it used to be 314, now Revo is more popular. Filler uses Z3 and Revo interchangeably. Shane Van Boening is sponsored by Cuetec and uses one of their cues.
