Okay...this is not official until the WPBA confirms...but according to my calculations, you are now #16 in the rankings! You and Jennifer B. are tied with 390 points....but according to the rules, you should be given the higher ranking since you have made more money.

Again - this is not official - but I keep my own set of rankings statistics, and I have not been wrong yet...

Congratulations sister! Keep kicking butt (just not mine...LOL)! See you in Florida....

Love, Big Sis Melissa

Hey Melissa,

Thanks for the info. I hope you are right. I keep getting so close to that top 16 spot. I tried to figure it out and when I did Tiffany was the 16 spot. But I could be wrong. We'll see what happens. It will happen someday.

Take care and see you soon,
Sarah

ONLY # 16,,,, WTF dont make me come and find you and light a firecracker under your butt lol :) jk

I have faith in you Sarah, that you will break into the top 5 soon. sometimes its just the luck of the draw in tournaments, and getting a couple of matches against the easier players if there is any.

I know i myself usta have the same problem with the tournaments i was in, i would win my first match or two then lose, goto the loser side, win a match or two then face a guy i just couldnt beat.

It was like i would get to a point in the tournaments where i just couldnt get past.

But for the past two months, i have been finishing in the top 5 of the tournaments almost everytime. I still seem to face that one guy i just cant beat though lol.

Thank you sjm. Those were the figures that I had as well. Like I said, it is disappointing after a couple decent/good finishes to still be 5 points away. The only thing to look forward to is the last tournament of the year and ending the year in the top 16.

Dave, thank you for your encouragement. I agree with you that eventually I will break through. I think I need to practice a little patience and not try to leap ahead so fast. Congrats to you finishing well in your tournaments lately. You should be proud.

Take care,
Sarah

You'll be in the top 16 soon enough, Sarah. Keep the faith and play well in Florida. That a player like you could be ranked 17th just shows how strong the tour is right now. The talent pool is getting deeper and deeper.

Sorry Sarah - I guess my numbers on Hsin were wrong....I was 20 points off with her somehow. So I guess I shouldn't have opened my mouth :( ....but I was so excited for you.

Well, if it helps make you feel better, I think you should be ranked Top 10....forget that whole Top 16 stuff! (I am gonna get in trouble if I keep talking....but there are definitely names above yours that I don't think belong there).

Love ya & see ya in FL (where I will be at every match to make sure that you do well and secure that Top 16 ranking) -

Mel

MIke has a link to a WPBA spreadsheet showing the standings:

http://www.azbilliards.com/wpba/2000pointslist.cfm

Too bad it is not up to date. Then you would be able to see which points drop off at each tournament.

Some don't belong up there? Now who could that be? Seems to me they got there by earning points in a tournament just like anyone else. No one gave them the points.

Since they earned the points - they belong there.

It only shows what a tough sport you are in.
