Instead of being nitty and saying "IRS this, IRS that.. Blah blah blah..", why don't you guys just offer up stories of road players without naming any names?

Good question, I don't know the answer but the way things are today I would say the number of road players who actually make their living at pool is very very small.

Wow, posters are feeling mighty whitty. The last few threads I have posted that have put forth a simple single question has fetched no straight forward answers. The problem is I don't find any of it particularly amusing. There are alot of other forums on other topics that are more entertaining than this one.

The only one that really knows how much money was netted over time is the player and his backer if he has one and only one backer. If they are busy on the road making money, they aren't going to know what someone else is making. The player himself is likely going to give bad info on his winnings anyway. Maybe high, maybe low.
Anyway i have seen many of the top money players by Rep many times and some have lost 80% of the time.
I think the fact that they 'bet high' gets them the rep. One other thing. If the road player is always playing another name player, who can really win in the long run?
That being said- i might go with Ronnie wiseman.

The hottest hand is more of a temporary thing. Who is hot one minute maybe cold the next. I think it is really hard to say who is the top road player. However, Ill give my two cents. Right now I would say Chris Bartram or maybe Shane.

My favorites are Jason Kirkwood. Plays very hard and matches up real well. Quiet man and loves the game.
Cliff Joyner has lived off his wits and talent for a long time. Lots of heart and not afraid of the dough.
Billy Peay gets around real well.
Doug Young. Bit of a loose cannon, but on the improve.
David G. is, seemingly back.
Chris Bartrum takes down some scores.
James Walden will always be a favorite of mine. Plays hard for the dough and incredibly entertaining.
That's just to name a few.

Lets see, the last one here (and Oklahoma) that cleaned up was a guy named Dan, just Dan. Turned out to be Danny Basavich, Kid Delicious.

He's been here in Dallas for a while and has done fairly good from what I could gather. TJ Davis did manage to beat Will after Will had just finished beating Robert Clark. He played and beat Gordy V. when he had just gotten into town. I heard that he's setting up a match with Chen in the near future.PoolBum said:
