As an older player(70+), I play in 2 8-ball leagues/ week & practice some at home. My tournament exposure is fairly limited. One of the problems that I feel when I do play in tournaments is that I tend to run out of gas as the tournament progresses. In Vegas last year when the matches began to go back to back & with each match becoming more competitive, I found myself missing shots that I normally make. Some of this could be related to not coping with the pressure, but on the other hand, each tough match does take a toll & my concentration is affected. Maybe this is a common problem at all ages & may have something to do with "tournament toughness", but I'm wondering if there are "fixes" that would keep my game competitive, besides huge doses of caffeine & lots of sleep the night before?
Thanks
