45 year bar/pool hall player. i just got my first table and would like a couple good training dvd's. any suggestions?

I think the one Scott Lee gives his students is excellent. Scott is on the board send him a PM.

obe1...dr9ball is talking about the dvds you get when I record your private lesson with me...and he's right. There's no better training than seeing yourself, good and bad, on tv. In the event that you can't do that, here's an almost equally good suggestion: Play Better Pool, Vol. 1 & 2...available directly from me (AzB discount), or from Muellers (poolndarts.com) or Amazon.com. PM me if interested.

Hi there Wisconsin..............

Hi there obe1,

I can't imagine you havn't heard about the Perfect Aim video. This will do so much for your game and immediately. I'm in Fargo right now and heading back to Wisconsin tonight.

I've logged over 600 lessons and had amazing results with everyone. Alot of the players you probably know.

If you got any questions give me a call 715-563-8712.

Gene Albrecht Have a great day.............

I like joe villalpandos pool i.q. videos. I highly recommend them! first one is on kicking systems and the second one is on cue ball control. I believe his third is comming out shortly after the first of the year.
In any event, I have also enjoyed Jimmy Reid's videos as well. I got those pretty much to help out the man, but the Information in his series was worth 10x what i paid. You can locate those on Ebay.
Those have been my experiances with DVD learning, and it has done me well. I wish you the best,
Shoot Straight!

Look at some of Grady Matthews videos. His "Just Kicks" got me kicking so good I now kick to make balls, or freeze the CB on a safety, not just to hit the ball. If you like straight pool get one of John Schmidt's; you will be dumbfounded with the number of balls he runs. As for Nine ball, Burt Kinister's videos are probably the best.

I recommend Joe Tucker's aiming workout DVD and workout book. If you can afford them, get the numbered balls from Aramith too. This is probably the toughest workout there is. It will hone your stroke and accuracy very quickly.

I used "Mastering Pool with Mika Immonen"..... it is a 3 disc series that came out last year...but not only does it have good info... it also has great computer graphics that break things down much better than I have ever seen. It is available @ http://www.runoutmedia.com ..........whatever you choose good luck

Dave

I would recommend any and all of the following

Top Quality Mika

Covers a lot of Max's. Some is the same as Mika's and a lot of other stuff that is not covered.

Little Joe's, gives basic CB control for more of an advanced player. Doesn't seem like much but really improved my CB control

Jimmy Reid's series. The original. Most of his stuff is covered by all of the other 3. A good series to have.

Really technical Don Feenies series.

All are great and can't really recommend one over the other. Give me a PM and I can talk to you and let you know more about them
