Hello folks,
On July 2nd I bought a cue from cbaumann212 and sent him the money by PayPal after exchanging a few pm's with him as well a phone call since the guy had no transactions on AZ.
For no reason he only shipped me the cue today after the PayPal transaction entered his bank account :eek: This is... one week after he got the money and he lied saying he sent the cue late last week . :confused:
His excuse to have the cue sent out one week after he got the money was that... he did that because there was a lot of scams transactions on AZ. Dang my record is clean (around 25 transactions) and I had transactions with the top sellers on AZ. Just beware of this guy. His name is Chris out of Chicago.
Also he wanted me to send him the money right away.
I am now just waiting to see if the cue will be in the condition he described :yikes:

So the guy wanted to be sure his money got deposited. I don't see the big deal. I would/will do business with him. He probably thought you wouldn't understand and was just stalling until his money got deposited. Again, no harm done. You got your cue. That's all that matters.

EDIT: I misread. Cue hasn't arrived yet.

Not that simple. He has 0 transactions and my record is flawless here. He got his money by Paypal and as soon he transfers it the transaction is secure and accepted. Everybody that I know on az as soon as the money is received on their Paypal account the item is sent out. EZ to say that since you are not involved in the transaction.
 
I'm just giving him the benefit of the doubt. He's new and perhaps didn't understand how many transactions you had. To him, you're just a stranger that wants to buy his cue.

Personally I wouldn't be so anxious to ruin someone's future transactions here on AZ.

Well he knows what was going on here on AZ and he told me straight up about the transaction... He has people that deal on AZ all the time, that is what he told me when I bought the cue from him on July 2nd, so he knew the rules.

He may not have known it was secure...I did'nt. I myself don't have a problem even sending a cue out prior to payment, if the buyer has good feedback. However, he's new and probably nervous.

He should have at least declared up front that he would not ship until funds had cleared (whenever that would be). I'd cut him a little slack, unless of course the cue is not as advertised, then address it...

Exactly my point. I also told him that I needed the cue shipped right away since I would be out of the country for a couple of weeks starting this coming Friday and he said he would ship the cue the very next day. He did not.:mad:

Relax fella there was a weekend and a holiday in between. I personally think you are being a little antsy. I hope all works out well.:thumbup:

I understand that but he lied. I do not want the cue to sit in the post office for 2 weeks and today we had 107 of temperature.
 
i wont get into if he lied to you.... cause i dont know that but if he shipped it yesterday or today than it shouldnt sit anywhere to long. but i dont think you should trash someone so fast. especially over a holiday weekend and especially over a couple of days....really!!

Hope all works out well. Personally, I wait for funds to clear regardless of seller status... If it's my first time dealing with them. WAY too many scammers out there, and payNOTMYpal sucks at taking care of their customers!

I am not trashing anybody. I made a transaction, the guy wanted the money right away, wanted me to call him as soon as I PayPal'd the money and I told him I wanted the cue shipped the very next day... he also wanted the money "yesterday" and I sent him the money... Not sure what you don't get... Since he's your friend I guess I am wrong and you're right :eek:

There are alot of people that wait for the money to hit their bank accounts before they ship. I do with certain people. This man doesn't deserve to be trashed for this. The holiday weekend messed alot of people up. Tony you are a good man, but would you have sent this man a cue without the money in your hand? We know you, he doesn't. If he lied that's wrong,but he was caught in a situation. I almost bought that cue myself. I had a funny feeling you were the one knowing how you LOVE Joseys. I have people on this forum I am waiting for cue I bought more than a week ago but I'm not going to sweat it. They are good people. I believe the guy just wanted to make sure he got his money. Just because Paypal has it that doesn'T mean a thing! You know I was concerned over $1600.00 that Paypal kept fo 5 days because of the holiday. Cut the guy some slack. He's just getting started on here, don't chase away a potential buyer LOL

All i can say is that i know this guy and i play pool with him personally...Hes not the type of guy that would scam anyone. I just think personally that he didnt know much about AZ and was just trying to be careful.

I would give him the benefit of the doubt like hal said. Let me try and call him and see if i can resolve this issue for you.

I just got off the phone with him and he told me that the cue was shipped already and you got all the confirmation and tracking number and everything.

Chris is new to Az..he has never done a transaction here before...i can understand that he was just trying to be careful and just waited on his money to be transferred first to his bank account before he shipped the cue. Though he already did. ;)

I have never sold anything on AZ and just wanted to make sure I got paid. I had been warned about people who had been scammed although the majority seem to be cool. Tony, relax. The cue is shipped. Had you not lowballed me on the price, I would have overnighted it to you. I am not a scammer, just a pool player who had an extra cue and who had never sold anything on AZ. I spoke with Arbey already and told him you have the shipping info. Tony, you were the one sending threatening emails. I hope you have something better to do then gossip on AZ. Why don't yopu fly a kite!
