I have a Trav-a-dial I took off a lathe I just got rid of. The face is scratched and a little clouded but easily readable. I don't have any literature. It's about 20 years old and works fine. Price is $100. If interested, pm me or call 772-489-0577. I'll send a picture.

It is a 2.5" dial indicator that mounts to the side of the carriage, rides along the bed, and reads lateral carriage travel. It is like a single axis DRO in dial form. You can reset it to Zero by rotating the dial and there is an inner dial that measures travel in tenths of an inch.

If you want to cut something 4.539", set the zero and make the cut stopping travel when close, then finish by hand.

These were $1,000 each 15 years ago. Don't know what a new one is today.

The one I have for sale is tentatively sold.
