May be looking to check out a few places this weekend. Does anyone know of any good pool rooms in/around Johnson City, Bristol, Kingsport, TN?

(276) 386-6330 jakes is the room i bought three espiritu cues in years ago. if you are cueaddicts from chatt area you have seen one of the espi's at chatt billiard club easy years ago. should have bought the schon cue with the plastic joint but didn't.

Janet Atwell's room is very nice on State Street in Bristol.

There's a room in downtown Kingsport I played at this spring. They have decent tables. Diamonds and Gold Crowns. Not tournament quality but decent. Breaking Tradition 235 East Market Street, Kingsport - (423) 239-7665

Jakes is nice and the last of the rooms in Gate City. It's right next to the Scott Co. Library. Jake took over Bob's Pool Room which was near the Court House and later moved it to it's current location replacing the pool hall that was known as the Silver Coin in the 1990's.

Greg, Jake's son runs it now. Every time I've been there for the last few years there's been far more poker than pool. Greg plays a decent game as do a few others.

Im local in Bristol. I play at Janets place on State Street or at The Corner Pocket (423) 844-0369. Good tables at both. At least 3 nine footers at each..but mostly 8 footers. Corner Pocket is no alcohol. Janets you can drink in. Smoking outdoors only at both. Not sure of the hours at Janets. Corner pocket opens at 12pm.

I'd love to meet up with ya to shoot a couple. However, not sure I can get away Sat. I have a family get together I've been rodeo'd into :grin-square: If you are in town and need anything give me a call...

Yes, Woody....that's me and I remember those Esp. cues years ago.

I played at Breaking Tradition over the weekend and it was a fine time.

No action, but decent tables and nice girls behind the bar.

Roy- I thought about inviting me over, but couldn't squeeze it in, sorry for us!
