Triple Loss of Game

So last night I'm at league (playing piss poor also i might add) and my opponent has 1 ball left on the table, and i have none. He completely misses hitting his ball, makes the 8 ball and scratches. LOL. Anyone ever seen someone have a triple loss of game before?

Well that would only be a single direct loss - the early eight. The other two are just BIH fouls to you (though with you being on the eight, it should be a foregone conclusion). :D

good point, but i will still count it as a 3X loss because i am 10000000% sure i would have made the 8.

wow you people are tough here jesus christ i thought it was a funny story about how many things can go wrong on one shot. If you cant make one ball with ball in hand you should prolly either quit pool or spend the next month practicing by yourself. Christ i thought it was just a funny story.

Ben - Next time,... naw, forget it... there probably won't be a next time, will there.
 
I thought it was funny!! Maybe if you had a few more details. Did he throw his cue? Did his teammates laugh at him? Did the old lady chain smoking cigarettes and playing the video poker machine tell him he sucks? The key to good story telling is in the details :thumbup:
 
I thought it was funny... i saw someone playing APA and it was hill hill and the cue ball was on a long rail and the 8ball for on the other long rail about 2 inches from the side pocket and the guy miss cued and hit the cue ball hard right into the side pocket. lol it was pretty funny, and it's APA so he lost because of that scratch!

I hit this trifecta for the win once in a 9-ball tourney. Of course my goal was only to pocket the 7 and get shape on the 8.

Now that's a funny story. It makes sense and is legitimate. This would count as a win.

It would be a 3X loss if
1) he was on 2 fouls already and you let him know
2) he pocketed the 8 out of turn
3) he broke his cue down in the middle of the shot (while the balls were still rolling).

Now THAT would be funny.

I thought it was sad. To miss the ball, bih, knock in the 8 out of turn, loss of game, and scratch, bih, because not on the 8 ball.

What is really sad, I think I may have done just this or something else near as bad at least once or twice in my playing career.

BTW, I did laugh.
