Why are the players not speaking up? It's part of the whole problem with pool right now. The players will do almost anything for money and will put up with almost anything. I liked Billy Incardona's answer to what aspiring pool players should do right now. He said, get a job. Isn't it a fantasy of a lot of us good players who come to this site, to play professionally? But in reality, there are what, maybe a handfull of guys making a decent living at it? I think KT is something scraped off the bottom of someone's shoe, but is it a big surprise that he is screwing the players over? This guy has a past that cannot be ignored. His goal in life is the promotion of Kevin Trudeau and Kevin Trudeau only. Players, wake up and smell the coffee.Jimmy M. said:He is out of line by painting a picture of a bunch of ungrateful pool players by contrasting the small number of players who thanked him to the large number of players who asked to borrow money. It isn't the IPT players who are b*tching right now. They're the only ones in the billiards community who are staying loyal to this guy so he should pay attention to who he is insulting. They're all keeping their mouths shut because they're still hoping to get paid. Maybe that's the right move for them. Maybe it isn't, but it's the rest of us outsiders who are b*tching about this whole fiasco. As I say that, I do realize it could be argued that, since we are outsiders, it's none of our business but that would be a weak argument and I don't think I even have to begin to poke holes in that one, do I?
Whatever. I guess I have to throw in the obligatory "I just hope he does pay the players what he owes". There! Now I'm not a pessimist.![]()

This has been one thing that has really bothered me and that they've competely ignored. We all know now that the checks weren't sent... if they had been, then they would've mailed them right back out. The checks were obviously never on their way to Reno... Has any player come out and asked Deno this?
rackmsuckr said:Yes, I did ask just that. Both KT and Deno really believed that the deal would be done and money would be freed up in time on Sunday, and then the next day, and so on, so they just stalled everyone until it became apparent that it wasn't happening 'any day' soon. The new law did throw a big monkey wrench into the works, but it still looks positive.
I also asked if we would get paid ONLY if the Ho deal went through and I do believe there are contingency plans to get the players paid.
Although everyone should have gotten paid on time at the first event, it sounds like those 50 players were already spending money beyond their means.JC51534 said:KT Quote
"The one thing that did surprise me was just how financially distraught many of these players are. At the first event a total of three players came up to me and thanked me for the food and a fabulous event. Do you know how many players came up to me asking for a loan? Almost 50. I was a little ticked off at that. Some players were acting like it’s my responsibility to make sure they could make their car payment"
Hey Trudeau - don't hold back tell us how you really feel about the people you owe 3 million bucks to.

The very name "Kevin Trudeau" is a PR mistake. And a punch line. The IPT's credibility never stood a snowball's chance in hell with him at the helm.Da Poet said:Hopefully the IPT will overcome another KT PR mistake.
