1st off, did he ever finish paying out the money from his last tournament? While reading this months Billiards Digest today there is a small article that states that the 7TH U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a lower court ruling that Kevin Trudeau must pay the $37.6 million dollar fine. I guess his next stop is the Federal Supreme Court. Very interesting article if you get a chance to read it. But i am still wondering if all monies were eventually paid. any info would be greatly appreciated................mike

I have heard that all of the prize winners in the tournaments were paid but I have heard from several vendors who were not paid. In addition, the people who played in the later qualifiers got nothing for their entries, or so I've heard.

Hi, Mike. Hope you are doing well, my friend!

I guess 37 million is a big number compared to what Trudeau spent on pool. He only dropped about $3 million in pool, give or take a few hundred thousand, trying to effect a change for the better. There are some, to include my other half, who think the IPT was the best-run tournament they had ever been to, bar none, in the history of American pool.

For trying to make something good happen in pool that failed, Trudeau will always be frowned upon by some folk, but if you were to ask the actual people who did compete in the IPT, there is a strong contingency that might sing a different song than the chorus sung on this forum from time to time, if you know what I mean. ;)

Take care always. You're one of the good guys, Mike!

I think Trudeau had the best intentions, but once he realized HE wasn't going to make anything, he quickly turned. I have heard he is worth over a billion dollars. This fine is laughable for him.

So they fined him roughly nothing compared to what he brings in? lol Almost a joke to him Ill bet...It's like this he has 1000's of millions and many more flooding in everyday?? It would be like telling a guy that you are playing a set for a thousand if he fouls again you are going to fine him 2 pennies...lol lol

Actually, I believe Kevin is worth somewhere in the $10-15 million range. He is nowhere as rich as people think he is.

According to my accounting I am still owed about $800, but they argued with me that I was fully paid...? oh well.

I also think I should have been reimbursed for $900 worth of plane tickets I bought after they announced the Chicago event would be "on" as planned, then cancelled it two weeks later.

But overall, I had a great time in the IPT and I wish it would have prospered.

When it comes to pool, and the IPT, Trudeau may have had good intentions. But, he certainly made his riches being nothing other than a con man. He toted that idiotic book as some sort of revelation for healing people, acting as if all of western medicine was some sort of conspiracy. And many were gullible enough to buy into it. Some of the people who bought it had very serious medical problems. Instead of going through standard treatments, they refused and whole heartedly believed that Trudeau's "cures" would do it. It did not work, and some people died as a result.

I usually do not feel sorry for gullible people, but when you have terminal lung cancer, or some other such disease, you can be excused for not thinking perfectly clear. It is a little different than buying the next gadget for $19.99, and finding out it doesn't work.

Trudeau is a scum bag, even if he did do something good for pool. I would bet my bottom dollar that the only reason he did anything for pool is because he saw some angle to help numero uno: himself. I hope he loses everything. He is no better than Madoff. For the record, this is all just MY OPINION.

Braden<----------having a bad day. Can anyone tell?
