TS Cue FS On Ebay Likely A Scam

Thanks.....that's a pretty design but if it's not authentic, then who cares, except for the seller?

it reminds me of a PHILLIPPI (sp?) which may have been "converted" if not a SCRUGGS

perhaps the seller would mail it to our resident SCRUGGS expert for authentication

100% scam. a shame, looks like a good ebay user got their account hijacked.

He's been a E-Bay seller since Dec. 15, 2000.....Has 9,789 sells, 99.4% positive....
Why do you think this is a fake? I'm just curious...

If it helps - I personally bought that cue and case from a reputable seller a few months ago. It's been verified by Bob Frey. I had some new joint caps made up by Jim Baxter for it, so those are a bit different from what's on eBay.

So, I'd say what's on eBay is a scam. Unless Tim made two of the same cue that's paired up with the same Whitten case.

And I'm the guy who sold it to him :p:p:thumbup:

I should have been a little clearer in the op that the cue pictured is a genuine TS, it's the auction that is a scam. I was familiar with this cue.

It appears that the good ebayer whose account it is was hacked by this scammer.

thx for posting Chairman & flip.

Was it reported to eBay KC ? Perhaps that is the appropriate thing to do as this seller has a good longstanding 17 year account from UK and this smells of fish.

-Kat,

WOW! If this guy is a scammer he is going to make out like a bandit. The bids are way up on his other items. I reported the cue and a few of his other items for suspected fraud.
