Thanks to everyone who worked to make this event a success.

The stream was near perfect and the commentating was awesome. I am sure it takes an immense amount of work that will go on long after we turn our PC's off.

Congrats to the players who competed and lost and well done to SVB.

Thanks to Jerry and Pat for letting me sit in and commentate one match. I enjoy it and wish I could have done more.

Jay Helfert said on another thread..Mike Howerton for President....
..well, I nominate Mike Zuglan as his running mate.

Agree +1 on the stream. thank you very much for making it free and quite professional. Commentators all did a great job. Thanks to everyone for making it possible !

Streaming

Live streaming such as this is great! ESPN coverage sucks. At least these commentators don't talk down to you and know what they are talking about.

Great Production and Stream. The pool players and spectators are privileged to participate and watch such an event. Thank you.

In general, it was a solid event. Well played, Shane.

Still, for those following on the stream, the fact that players were allowed to decline to play on the stream table prior to Sunday makes no sense at all.

Those following the stream often missed the most intriguing match of a round, including Archer vs Strickland, Souquet vs Strickland, Souquet vs Appleton, and, Shane vs Souquet. The last two of these matches featured two of the world's top 4 players.

One of pool's greatest faults is its frequent willingness to compromise the interests of the fans and of those who sponsor the stream to cater to the whims of the players. This hard-to-fathom truth has, and will continue, to dilute pro pool as a product.

Earl played on a stream table for 140 racks just a few weeks ago in the TAR studio, but suddenly he can't handle playing on the stream table. Go figure.

Anyway, my one complaint aside, thanks to Mike Zuglan and all whose sponsorship and patronage made the event possible. Well done!

I'll fouteenth that

Great job, thanks for the early Christmas present. The wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I like this post...players should have ZERO say on which table they play.

.I like that the camera was tilted up so we could see a lot of the Archer/
Stickland match....
..hell, I can't even remember who PLAYED on the stream table that time.
