a little about me, I have to keep my idenity private for alot of reasons, there are alot of people here on this forum that know me very good and will stand up for me, they know why i keep myself annomouis, i cant spell,
i started playing pool in 85, opened a business in 88 it went down 3.5 years later, i played most of the time then, I closed it and moved to vegas filed bankruptcy(i wasnt born with family $$$) i discovered telemarketing and was like Efren is at pool, I became a legend in that gig, the Govt made what we were doing illegal, so I opened a square telemarketing company-I caught a little heat after i was open for about a year, we reached a deal with the Govt and have been in business ever since 11 years. I took the $$$ I made and went all in on realestate before the boom, I was lucky,
I retired from pool in 94 and started the gym and got into bodybuilding because my back was bad, it bought me 10-11 years til my back finally gave out, i played on/off from 94 til 8 months ago, I'm still not playing like I did but its comming back fast, at my bast I was a weak A player on a real good day. I started back in pool to streach my back, but once a player awalys a player, i was going to come back anyways. but i had to leave pool because I wasnt making what i wanted too, it was hard to leave pool but I knew I was comming back.
I have been very blessed with success, i worked 15 hours last thursday so nothing I made was for free and i dontlfeel guilty etc. I went to a tournment at the Normandy Casion in LA a few months ago and ther ewas only 4 tables and 1st place was $10,000 same as in 85, It made me sick, I never played good enough to worry about winning a pro tournment, but seeing alot of familiar faces from the past it made me sick to see the chump change in pool, I went to eat with Tang Hoa who lost to Efren 11-10 afterwards and he said "Its the only pork chop on the table" he is right. I'm not even going to mention KT's jive $hit, but it got me thinking what could happen to put pool back in peoples minds, big tournments are usless to most of us its good for only a hand full of champions. So I started thinking.
I came up with a concept and ran it past Jay-I have been out of the loop for so long I wanted to see if I had a good idea, he loved it, I called the guy who creates and sells TV shows he liked it. so here we are,
Back to me, not to brag but I'm very comfortable and I hate to see pool in its current state 4 table's and $10,000 is a tournment? BS!!! I just want to put pool on the map, you might ask why the hell would asnyone want to do that? well let me tell you I own everything I want to except a jet, my mom my best friend in the world died a bit over 2 years ago and since she passed -giving back helps me heal my own pain, i'm not a mark or fish(try me and see
) I'm just a generous guy-if you cant share why have it. I have no family but 1 uncle who was born in 1924, I left my girl the week my mom died. For what ever reason i cant explain I get a great feeling handing a valet $100 to park my car, i'm not a show off-I wear old cloths, dont have a bunch of phony friends kissing my ass, I'm just a regular guy who worked hard and came back from bankruptcy and it helping people helps me, Valets for example work their ass off and hooking them up is a good feeling. this is my intention for pool. I dont want my name in lights, i like to keep private. I was on a TV show-the travel channel on a 15 minute bit and everyone I know would call me it ran for 3 years, i had no idea the attention, so after that I went stealth, but anyone who wants to hold me accountable for anything i'm right there, i dont run.
and yes I bragged about drilling Jay one frame of banks, it was a fluke so i had to milk it.
