COLORADO SPRINGS - Two 16-year-olds were treated for stab wounds after a brawl broke out in the parking lot of a Colorado Springs bar Wednesday night.

An estimated group of 20 people were involved in a fight inside the Antique Billiards on 3628 Citadel Drive North and in the parking lot. Everyone dispersed prior to police arrival just before 12:00 a.m.

10 minutes later two 16-year-old stabbing victims arrived in the emergency room of Memorial Hospital. The two suffered non- life threatening stab wounds and are in stable condition. The victims told CSPD officers they were stabbed during the fight at Antique Billiards.

Officers developed information that the brawl was gang related but have yet to make any arrest. The investigation is ongoing.

What happened to the good old days when a fist fight was just that. Now there's always a knife or gun involved.

Good to hear that the two 16 y.o. are OK...Fight was probably over something stupid. It usually is!!

Antiques

About a year ago there was a body found behind Antiques. They have had their problems. They have a house rule that hats have to be on straight, not sideways or backwards and they enforce it. That will give you some insight into some of their customers.

There has been numerous problems at Antiques for as long as I can remember. Several shootings, bottles busted over peoples heads, knifings, etc...

Many bad injures and a couple of deaths. In fact it's been a running joke that everyone should wear body armor when they play. I don't like to play there late at night.

I can't play pool with a straight hat. The bill obscures my vision, so I turn it to the side. Sometimes the habit leaves the pool hall with me and I wear it crooked elsewhere. I am however, a very respectful, rule abiding, and honest person, so please don't judge people based on such trivial things.

On a more serious note, I hope the two youths involved recover swiftly.

No offense meant

I'm sorry if I offended you. That was not my intent. I was just pointing out a policy that was put into place for a reason. If you are wearing your hat sideways for visual reasons then you would be innocently caught up in the straight hat policy. Again, no offense meant. :embarrassed2:

I'm sure you are!
On that note perhaps in Ottawa, Canada you can get away with your hat tilted but in some neighborhoods south of you it could cost you your life.
Call it judgmental but it's a fact. Even the color of your hat can be a problem in places like L.A. or other large city's here in the USA. Sad but true.
I had a recent close encounter with some bangers and all was cool. On the other hand there are some neighborhoods I can't even drive through but if I do by mistake I can't stop at a stop light for fear of being car jacked.

the point was; look like getto, must be getto, guilty by dress not behavoir.

My friend Paul just moved to Colorado Springs. He invited me up there from Denver to see his place and his great new pool hall. Yes this is the one. I was planning to go during the day though so I don't think I need body armor!!!

No offense taken. Although my words were true, I was just kidding around (probably not the best idea in such a serious thread). Anyway, thanks for the kind words. :)
