Two months off

Good stuff, unless you are like me. I broke my left leg in 4 places and just when I got my cast off and was walking with a cane, fell on an icy side walk and re broke one of the breaks. Always an option if you need more time off work.
Other than that, walking around a table is great therapy.
Merry Christmas.
Terry.

It sounds like you and I have a lot in common. Jumping around the table on one leg is great exercise:embarrassed2:.

Jay the pins will stay in unless they bother me, the doc said he could take the smaller ones out. The idea of a DeWalt drill and worn out Phillips bit is enough to make me faint:eek:. As far as being a wuss check out my Fibia front view(better sit down first).

UGH! How come that bone in back isn't attached to anything?

It is the longest I have ever taken off work since I started working at 13. It is the longest time I have ever gone with out walking (since I was two.)
It is the longest time I have gone with out playing pool and I miss it.

I get my cast off next Tuesday and I cant wait to try out my new stance;). Because of my surgery I have spent a lot of time on this forum and it has helped me pass the time but it is time to find my game again.

Thanks AZ world for giving me something to do and keep me from going stir crazy.

I don't know how your accident happened, but we had an employee who took his motorcycle home for lunch one day and swerved to avoid a car, trapping his ankle against the curb and his bike. He broke the ankle clean off and there was concern about losing the foot. He was off the job for 18 months, with multiple surgeries. He eventually recovered but that's when I found out how severe a broken ankle injury can be - nasty stuff. He was in terrible pain and couldnt do anything.

Have a good time at the airports, I do! Every time I go through the medal detector they light up like a slot machine in Vegas. Get ready for allot of attention.

Hope everything heal well!

Let me first state that I am not a table mechanic:killingme:

The bone that has been cut is the non weight bearing bone and I have no use for it now that the joint has been welded solid. By cutting it and screwing it to the side of the joint it will add strength and insure that there is no lateral motion. In other words I cannot role it to the side. All the bone spurs and arthritis were removed and fresh bone was revealed. Then stem cells were taken from my hip and slathered around the various places where the fusion of bones was to take place. This helps speed up the healing process.

One thing I need to find out is how am I going to rebuild my calf muscle?
It has no doubt shrunk and gotten weak from being immobile for two months. Now that my ankle joint is solid it will be hard to exercise. I think I will change my break shot and try the back leg kick ala Johnny Archer:rolleyes:.
