The shafts are shot and the butts are in so so condition. A good friend of mine has a bunch of these and gave me two of the "worst" ones to mess with. Providing the butts are straight after I cut them in half, I was thinking a SS joint on one with black cap/joint rings and the other in juma cap/joint rings. Any thoughts on a game plan from those with previous experience?

The butterfly looks too skinny.
Find a good 13" long section with the top having some room before getting down to joint size and cut it off.
If you can cut a 27-29" long section with some room for joint, keep it one piece. Sometimes the points will have to be high up though.
I'm chopping two Titlists myself. Neither one might make it.
