There are 53 of the top 100 Fargos worldwide set to play in this event. Most of the players missing - 33 by my count - are not WNT or Predator event regulars.

The Phoenix Open had 47 and Florida 43 of the top 100 Fargos.

More of the Polish contingent is showing up for the U.S. Open compared to Florida and Arizona.

China is also far away and players would have to spend a lot of time there.

And they definitely are not only interested in the biggest names. They're basically interested in as any and all foreigners playing their game.

The World Cup of Pool has had two Chinese teams in the finials and one team win it and there are teams from every major country. The World Pool Masters had the same participation and Ko won it. I think the Chinese fan base is very aware of the top players from around the world.

Well then it shouldn’t be called an “Open” then. I mean that IS the meaning of the word, that it’s an Open tournament.

Let’s tell the real truth about your stance. You don’t care about them having not played in WNT events. You’re a dyed in the wool SVB Fanboy that doesn’t want any player that may threaten your hero’s attempt at another US Open win. That’s known as keeping it real by the youngsters.
